PostSubject: JG M4 S System with 8.4v 4500maH large battery   Sun May 04, 2008 6:47 pm

Hey guys! Well i plan to do alittle something with batteries. Ive had my 8.4v 4500 mAh large battery for awhile...and i plan to put it to good use. So i plan to use it on my JG M4 System. My question is, will it work? Will it strip the gears or spring? Cuz after using this battery on my Echo 1 MP5A4 it was fine for a couple weeks until it got weaker and stripped the spring.

I will plan to buy adapters for the connectors to.

I'm not sure where you plan on putting the battery, but it'll run the gun fine.

As for your MP5 that broke, what exactly happened to it? Springs don't strip, so I'm a little confused. Either way, it was a problem with the gun, not the battery. Any AEG will run any 8.4v battery with no problems.

well since the battery is to big for the M4 System battery compartment (in foregrip), i plan to put it on the outside, and into a battery pouch and it will be connected with an adapter (small to large connectors). So there would be 2 red and black wires running from the foregrip to a little pouch on the side.

For the MP5, im not sure what happened. I shot it for a couple weeks, and it worked fine, and then one day i was going to shoot it. It shot weak, like not even dead solid (I shot my friend, and he said it didnt hurt at all). Could it be the higher ampage over powered the gun???

^Or maybe you left it with the spring compressed, or maybe it shredded an o-ring, or maybe the piston lost some teeth and can't complete a cycle, or maybe the air nozzle broke, or maybe the hop-up bucking is faulty, or maybe...

Lots of things cause FPS loss. Use of an 8.4v battery isn't one of them. I promise.

Anywho, the battery you have will work just fine. Just get the proper adapter, and it'll be good to go. It'll look awful with a battery bag on it, but different strokes for different folks I guess, lol...

hahaha i hope your right. I dont wana buy a PEQ box, cuz they cost alot and add more weight. Some of them are made out of plastic and will crack easily. So im going with the battery pouch, cuz its lighter, cheaper, and you can get it anywhere.

Thank you very much for your help!!!

Yep, shoot until you hear the piston go all the way forward. Listen closely and you can hear it go fully forward.

once in semi works fine...

a PEQ box will not add alot of weight. its usaualy the battery thats in it that add the weight... a PEQ box would look alot better that a batt pouch, unles you re wire your gun to the back... but then you could just buy a full stock...

It won't fit a huge battery like the one you have.
A battery bag or full stock are your best options.
