M4 Magazine not winding

Hi guys. Its been a while since I have come to this forum and I like what I am seeing. I left when the forum about a month after Booligan. That's the only way I can remember when I stopped coming. Anyways,

I have a stock G&G M4. I may be good with guns but the mags are out of my league. The mag is the one that came with the gun, a 450 high cap. When looking inside it with a flashlight nothing was moving inside while I was winding it, I am pretty sure that's bad. I put some BB's in the mag and nothing happened while I was winding it. Out of a full mag 1 BB was wound up. Sorry if the info is vague. I hope you can help.

Check the screw on the bottom of the high cap, should be a hex screw. Unscrew it and separate the guts from the shell. This will help you observe the action of the gears inside. Tell us what you see.

Ok, the screw is really small so I might have to borrow something from my neighbor. I will let you now when I get it.

Ok this happened to me once. What you need to do is take the entire mag apart and locate the long "spring" which is actualy coiled metal. If im right this is broken, and you will need to bend a new hook on the end, this is very easy with a set of needle nose plyers. It is hard to explaine but once you open it up it will be very obviouse what you need to do.
