Because no one (that I know of) makes AUG A3s so they can charge a lot for them. I think it's kinda ugly and I like AUGS. It really isn't a true AUG A3. The real ones look much better. I think the gun would look a lot better with a suppressor

First id this really news?!?!

Second, JG and some UNCompony are the only ones making a airsoft AUG A3 to my my knowledge. This is a marketing stratagy, if people want the AUG A3 they have to buy JGs or the 700$ one on the UNCompony.

Edit: The UNCompony AUG A3 is actualy a converted and upgraded TM AUG.

This JG has some pretty nice upgraded internals in it. Such as a stock MOSFET.

I used to be a HUGE fan of the AUG, even though I always thought it looks a little funky.

But, after several skirmishes it became plain uncomfortable. The comfort factor could be remedied by the alteration of the "trigger guard/hand guard" but there was always some weirdness going on.

I think by far, my favorite grip style is the m16/m4 style.

But, Ill admit it does look to me to be more aestetically pleasing than the standard style.


At 400 + its a lean mean bb slinging machine...not something to use in CQB though.

Its a JG AUG with a kit on it. I forget who makes the kit independently, but it is not JG who manufacturers it. Also i believe the cost is due to the material of the RIS (AUGA3) kit, which i think is aluminum. In which case it is not a proper Auga3 as seen below.
