This is about different gases for your GBB or NBB. Vote, on what you think is the perfect combination of affordable price, power, and gun friendliness, and explain why.

Green gas.

Does not put alot of stress on the GBB / NBB. Also, the power displayed by the green gas is perfect, not to slow, not to fast, just perfect for me.

Co2 guns can't kill... Anyway, I would use Green Gas, for the same reasons as stated above.

Propane; cheaper than it's "green" labeled alternative.

Green Gas, Red Gas, or Propane Empty

I like using my red gas (which is a lot harder to find than it was a year or so ago) in my full metal gbb's because I typically do a lot of maintenence on my guns so I lube them myself. I like the extra kickback it gives and obviously the increased fps. However, I voted green gas overall because its a safe bet with almost all gas guns and it doesnt smell bad like propane. Its pretty easy to get if you know which places to look and the added lubricant is a bonus. I dont mind paying extra for better quality.

My friend has a KWA g19 that he used to use with green gas. He just switched to ptopane about 2 weeks and the green gas smelled just as bad as the propane.

Green Gas, Red Gas, or Propane Empty
PostSubject: Re: Green Gas, Red Gas, or Propane   Green Gas, Red Gas, or Propane EmptySat Nov 24, 2007 11:13 pm

It depends on the brand. I get this kind: http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/accessory.pl?accessory_id=728 (let me know if the link doesnt work)

This brand barely has a scent to it at all, even indoors. Propane, like many other gasses has no smell naturally and the scent is added into it so the consumer can recognize its presence from a leak, lets say. I guess this gas bypassed this process or found a way to neutralize it. The old green gas I used smelled bad as well, but I used trial and error to find a gas that didnt smell. Same with red gas, the old stuff I used smelled identical to propane. But then I got this "Extreme Gas" from Shortyusa.com (which doesnt carry it anymore nor do I shop there anymore) which is basically red gas with a crazy name. This gas didnt smell either but was still way more powerful. I would just shop around and find a green gas that doesnt smell like I did since its something that I particularly look for.

Green gas is praticly just propane mixed with silocon oil. so just get an adapter and put a couple of drops of silocon oil in the adapter before you use it
