| Ok, so my sportline isn't firing, and I know it isn't the wires that connect to the motor. At first, it was firing good, but a few days a go i took it outside, pulled the trigger on a fully charged battery, and all that happened was i heard what sounded like the gears begin to cycle, but then stop. I took out the motor and put it in all 4 ways possible, and connected the wires in different ways to the motor, and it doesn't do anything now when i pull the trigger. If anything, do you think the motor is burned up? if so, where could i purchase a new motor for the gun?
Thanks, Python | |

| The problem can be a load of things: The battery could be fried The gearbox could be locked up "and connected the wires in different ways to the motor" Might have caused a lockup with the anti-reversal lever, adding to the fun. Wiring could be shorting out Could have caught it half cycle and your battery cant finish the job (Battery problem again) Jams Incorrect motor height
that's to name quite a few things. Try a new battery. If that doesn't work, take the motor out of the grip and connect the wires to the battery as normal, noting the speed of the motor (without all that spring tension and such encountered in normal use). Unusually slow, could point to motor problems.
EDIT: Just like to add that in the future, when you post up problems such as this one, model your post the same way. Describing the problem in detail and other things you have checked can help us detect your problem much easier, and this is a good example of "what to post".

| OK, I can't find my camera, so I took a picture off of evike.com and used paint to show what I think is wrong. From what I can see, the coiled wire (white circle) has an end that attaches to a metal plate (as shown in the brownish circle). On my motor, this wire is bent, and not connecting to the plate. It may be a small area, but I think that's the problem. Once I find my camera, I will take pictures.

| Yep that would be a cause for problem.
A new motor would be my recommendation then, try something like the Guarder Infinite Torque Up Motor, it's supposedly a clone of the systema magnum at a much cheaper price.
Check out y0mam89's video of it in a CA M15A4 on youtube, the trigger response time on semi auto is almost instantaneous.
As for buying it, it should be around $30-40 on ebay.
Fixing your old motor.... not sure if it's possible/you'd even want to.

| The m15a4 takes a long type motor, right? | |

| if it is like that I think that you should purchase a new motor, then sell it, and get it again, hoping that your old one was a lemon, the motor might have been faulty from the start, and everytime you shot it got worse.. maybe | |

| what? Are you telling him to buy a new motor, then sell the gun, and re-purchase it? Thats kinda silly, and bit too much trouble. You couldn't sell the gun for the same price he bought it, so he'd be losing more money than just buying a new motor. In conclusion, unless youre confident you can fix your current motor, then just buy a new one. Which btw do you have a price range for a motor you want? | |

| true, but I was saying it as a option if he didnt like it, I would only but a new motor, if you are sure that your old one was fiddled with to much, and broke down, or something went wrong with it, I agree with Sgt Hartwig that you should buy the motor once you are sure you cant fix it. | |
