| which one? Im a definite aug lover , i have 2 TM AUGs already, but i kind of want a different kind of gun........ i play woodland, and at fairly long distances (80-110 feet), im just not sure if the Sig can acheive those distances as well as the AUG, but the SIG just looks freaking awesome | |

| The SIG may be able to reach those ranges if you put a silencer on it, tb, and upgrade it. | |

What would that do? All aftermarket silencers for AEGs that I know of are just hollow tubes with no inner barrel extension. You could get a longer tightbore and use a silencer to cover up the extra length sticking out but a silencer on its own wont do anything for a gun's performance unless it has an inner barrel extension within it but I have never seen those for an AEG ever. The SIG will reach those distances fine, but your accuracy and power wont be upheld as well. I'd definately go for the tightbore and maybe a new hop up unit would be something to consider. If you're looking for something different then I think the SIG is a good choice or you could also look into higher end M14's, SAR's, or SCARs if you wanted to stand out from the usual M4/16, AK, and G36 crowd (which most AUG lovers like to be) as those guns are known for their range and use in your play style.

| Having just purchased the SIG, I love it. It's incredibly accurate (I use .25g bb's) and is just overall a nice gun. I has hitting a little smaller than a head sized target at around a hundred feet. I was able to hit a tree stump at 150' with no problems. The groupings on this gun are incredible, and I find myself not using the CQB sights on this one like I do with my Classic Army M15A4. Definitely better groupings on this one than a stock CA. Rate of fire is a tad lower, but not bad at all, considering it's running on an 8.4V 1100 mAh battery.
I can't give you a detailed accuracy test yet, as it's still snowy, but I can vouch that the stock performance was incredible. Probably one of the best stock performers I've seen yet.
The only gripe I have with the gun, is that the magazine capacity is Exactly 150 rounds, I counted each one as I put them in. So if you do end up getting one, a good idea would to be to get an extra TM mag, as the guy from the store said those will work fine.
One last thing to note is that you'll probably also want to lube the mag as soon as you get it, I still have to myself actually...

| I agree with bert. Also, why buy a 3rd AUG? Try something new, you might be impressed. | |

| I also think the SIG would be a great choice, the gun itself looks great, and it sounds like it preforms great as well. | |

| I'd get the SIG
the fps on the AUG is only 280 (according to ASGI)

Could this gun handle a 9.6? Could you fit a large type high maH in it?

| The grip would not fit any bigger of a battery without modification, so nope. As to whether or not it could handle it... I'm sure it would work with a 9.6v battery, though the stock battery hasn't given me any problems whatsoever. So, I think I'm going to stick with that. Edit: Well I guess if you were that enthused to rig up some kind of external power source, the right side rail could be implemented in some way | |

Could this gun handle a 9.6? Could you fit a large type high maH in it? I have heard that running a 9.6 has no real negative effects compared to an 8.4, you will get the same number of shots off before your gun dies, however with an 9.6 that will obviously be a quicker time period. I would just keep the stock battery, the one in my E1 G36 is pretty good.

| thanks, i got the chance to shoot both back to back and the Sig was far better. The sig was more accurate and had higher fps, IDK the JG AUGS kind of dont impress me 300 fps for a ACM? The sig was shooting consistley at 365 fps. SIG had great accuracy at 100 ft and beyond. Like what has been said 1000000 times before, barrel length does not have a huge impact on range and accuracy in airsoft. Plus the SIG blows the AUG out of the water when it comes to ROF. | |
