| I don't know if that'll fit, I haven't tried a nunchuck in it.
I don't even remember the original connecter, lol, I cut it off a long time ago...
I'll see what I can track down though.

| I found out on Airsoft retreat that it is a small connector. I can probably put on the M4 carrying handle+mount+red dot on the rail of the gun. Just looking at the battery I think it should fit because it doesn't look much bigger than the stock battery.
However, I still do not know if I can charge a NIMH battery with a NICD charger.
Overall, I like this gun ,but the fps is lacking a bit at 330-335fps. I'm going to put in a Systema hop up bucking to increase fps, range, and accuracy making it maybe 340-345fps.

| Yep, you can charge a NIMH with a NICD and vice versa. It's just lipos that need special chargers. | |

| Alright thanks, I asked because I had a 8.4volt 1400mah Tenergy battery that went out on me after a few charges (I thought it might be the charger). Now I realize that Tenergy is a bad brand of battery.
Edit: Also, if I put a 9.6volt battery in will it put too much stress on plastic parts in the gear box like the spring guide, piston, and piston head.

| I have 3 problems with this gun: 1.)Will a 9.6volt battery put too much stress on the plastic parts of the gearbox like the spring guide, piston, and piston head.
2.) The spring guide is plastic which means it could break prematurely.
3.) The shim job is bad and I don't know how to get into this gearbox to fix it. Other than that the gun is good (especially the externals) except for a slight shortcoming in fps.
Also does anyone know how to disassemble the gear box so I can shim the gears?
And sorry for the double post.

| Look on the review on ASR, they cover more or less everything you'll need to know. The rest will be common sense.
And no, an M4 carry handle won't fit. It's too loose of a fit. If you put tape on the rail, it may clamp down enough to be secure though.
And the spring guide is partially metal, so it should be pretty solid.

| I read the review and I decided to buy an Echo 1 Version 3 metal spring guide (the gearbox spring guide is a ver. 3). I might just take the entire carrying handle set up from my M4 and put it on the gun ,but I have to see how it looks. Worst comes to worst I'll buy a raised mount and put it on. The shim job is bad ,but I don't know for sure how to get in it and do reshim it. I'll leave it how it is unless it is really bad. The gearbox splits horizontally and I can get into the top to change out the spring guide(thank you youtube!) and I'm putting in a Systema hop up bucking which should be easy to install. I think that's everything. | |

| No don't get the V3 spring guide. Your gun is an E1 M4 correct? V3 does not mean the gearbox type, it means it's Echo 1's 3rd generation of AEGs. The M4 has a V2 gearbox which uses a V2 spring guide. | |

| New development! I have heard that if I use an 9.6volt battery like the one I bought in the army L85 it will make the gears move too fast for the piston to keep up causing the gears and piston the shred. SO, my plan is to keep the 9.6volt ,but get a metal spring guide and M110 spring to slower the gear and piston so they can handle it. With this configuration I should get higher fps(400) and a decent rof. I only have one question. Do you think that the stronger spring will put too much pressure on the gears. I think the gears are similar to M14 style gears and are made of steel. Also the first tooth on the spur gear is reinforced to handle the pre-setting of the piston that the gun features. So, will the gear break/shred or fail in any way (including any lose of life in the gun? Here's the link for the spring: http://hotspotairsoft.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_33_100&products_id=1755Thanks for the help! | |

| Please answer! Do you guys have any idea if the stock gears will work with the 9.6volt battery and M110 spring? And I sorry for the 3rd post. | |

| Since mine is in pieces awaiting parts, I can't test your desired configuration, sorry.
EDIT: And if no one answers, it's probably because no one knows.

| You might want to post this on ASR and ASF. No one other than Booligan on here has experience with the gun. (or atleast that I know of) | |

| That's what I figured. Since you can't test this set up specifically do you know what would happen to standard Mid end aeg gears with a 9.6v and a M110 spring? Because I think the gears are on par with Echo 1; I don't want them to shred. I think the piston is made of that nylon plastic material and it looks similar to what my Echo 1 M4's piston is made out of. (I don't want the piton to be under too much stress either)
If you guys don't know I'll post it on airsoft retreat.

| like I said only guy with experience with this gun is Booligan. I suggest you post it on ASR.
If you can find an aftermarket piston I suggest you replace the stock one.

| Well on airsoftgi it says that it will take it from 350-380 and that the only upgrades you need are metal bushing and a metal spring guide (which I have).
OH, and another thing is that I was going to play my first game today and I shot 6 shots and then it went click, click when I pulled the trigger. So, I figured it was electrical and opened it up and found the 25amp fuse burn out. I should probably get a 30amp fuse especially if I'm using a 9.6volt battery.
I'll post this question on ASR.
