JG BAR-10 or Well VSR-10 Empty
PostSubject: JG BAR-10 or Well VSR-10   JG BAR-10 or Well VSR-10 EmptyTue Apr 01, 2008 10:48 pm

Hi guys, well this is really my first time buying a sniper rifle cause of the money i just earned from selling my other airsoft guns. So right now, iam in the middle of deiciding with 2 sniper rifles. Both come with scopes (which is less of a hassle then wasting money on ordering a scope). So it is either the JG BAR-10 or the Well VSR-10.

Please give your opinions on both guns. Give your likes and dislikes on these guns. I really appreciate your help!

I have used the Well VSR-10, it is pretty sturdy, and is very accurate at ranges. The scope for my friends (lucas) has to be calibrated, but is pretty good, the closer your eye is to the scope, the more zoom. The gun itself is a swat weapon (I have heard). Its barrell gets scratched very easily but that is not a problem. It shoots 400, but is heavy, but easy to cock. The only problem is the cocking lever. On the lever of the VSR 10 is there and behind that is a round metal piece, and they are held together by a screw, that screws the back piece into the gun, making the cocking lever sturdy, and non wobbly. After some use, the screw becomes loose, and suddenly when you cock back, the lever comes off, this is easy to fix, just put the lever back on, then the metal piece, then screw in the back. Besides that it is a great gun. Ask some of the other members about the BAR-10 since I do not have much expierience with that gun.

Um... No. JG and Well are the manufacturers, they don't rebrand anything.

The Well MB02/3 are quite different than the Bar-10, but both are good choices. The Bar-10 has a better hop-up design, and can hit 500 fps easily with some nearly free mods, making it seem like the better choice, but if you are on a tighter budget, the MB02/3 are good guns, and with .28g bbs, they are deadly accurate.

I say get whichever you can afford, as they are both good sniper platforms.

There has been quite some confusion about this. ECHO1 is actually one of the leading re-branders in the US (mainly testing, rebranding, and repackaging JG guns). Companies like WELL, CYMA, and JG are actually manufacturers in China, along with DE, BE, AGM, KART just to name a few. Remember, most brands we talk about in this forum are actually true manufacturers. ECHO1 is the main culprit behind rebranding guns. Some also assume that JG and Echo-1 are totally the same (some sellers and companies even claim this) but it is untrue. ECHO1 guns are actually different internally having been fitted with metal spring guides and bushings most of the time. This, coupled with the addition of extra mags, accessories, a warranty, etc. is the reason why ECHO1 guns are, while still affordable, are often a bit higher priced than JG.

Sorry for the OTness but I wanted to get that point out without making a new thread which no one will read.

I would go jg BAR-10 the Well guns aren't that bad but JG is better, but on the other hand at $55 you could just take the chance and see how it works out.

I'm happy with my MB03 (Well VSR-10 clone) on TSD .28s. For the price, it's a good start.

Mandatory glamour shots Smile :

With a little love, 200' accurate shots are easily achieved. Out of the box, you're hitting 175' or so accurately. If you drop an additional $90 or so in it with a tightbore barrel and better hop-up components, I can see it stretching its legs out to 230'+
