| How can I increase the ROF in my ECHO1 MP5J? Would it be better to get full stock so I can get a bigger batter that could help increase ROF? Thanks. | |

Would that increase my ROF more than the stock battery? If so, by how much

| Or you can rewire it, add deans plugs, shim it well, add high speed gears, short stroke the piston, add a MOSFET, get a better motor, etc...
The old "just add a bigger battery" trick is half assing it. If you want to see a real increase in ROF without sacrificing reliability, then you need to do more.

| Now, are u saying getting a better battery would make it less reliable? Also, what kind of ROF increase would I see if I get a larger battery? | |

| lol then just get a 9.6v battery unless you want to spend a good chunk of $$$ on a new motor, shims, gear set.... But the 9.6v will put more stress on your gearbox. | |

| yep
i don't think the rof you gain with the 9.6 is worth the life it takes from your gun. The only reason your brother's gun is faster is because it has a large type battery so it has more energy, therefore it can hold a charge for longer. Make any sense? I bet if you fully charged both of your guns, they rof would be the same for a little while.

| But you do have a mp5j and it will be hard putting a 9.6v battery in there, since the battery compartment, isnt that big, so I would go for a better motor and gears, will be your best chance.. The MP5J has a collapasable stock. | |
