| Well to start off I feel very nooby for posting in here , I just was wondering what you guys thought about the two guns compared. I will be using it for "speedball" which is like capture the flag with one flag in the middle. I am considering a new gun because I want a lighter more mobile gun since the game is all about speed. I already have two G36c hi cap mags and that would be a benefit and I have also heard that you hardly ever have to wind the magazine. I could not find any reviews on the AK also does anyone know how it compares to the CYMA or Dboyi. The reason for the JG G36c and not the Echo 1 is because Echo 1's are sold out everywhere, the Echo 1 is more expensive and a guy locally is selling his JG G36c. Thanks for all your help Theprodigy | |

| Other than the mag thing, I think the 74U will be better because it is vector arms. So it will have a higher fps is "full metal." Idk though, I haven't really heard anything about the 74U, but I also haven't looked into it because it is not a gun that interests me. this probably doesn't help sorry | |

Stick batteries last just as long as other batteries of the same mAh rating. You can get stick batteries made in basically any mAh rating, it's just a matter of how large a cell the gun can fit. Since both guns he asked about use mini batteries only, battery life can technically be identical. If anything, the 74U is a better choice because he can fit a higher voltage battery in the gun easier than the 36C. With that said, I say get the Cyma AKS 74U. It's the same as the Echo 1 without the VA trades.

| for 6 bucks more you can get the Dboys AKs74u at www.pointact.com (its $129). It's a VFC clone so it has a steel body and stock, it also should have the wood grip, but its not specified. If you really want to know just email them, they should get back to you fairly soon (no more than 3 days after it's sent). The AK is much is more compact than the G36c, but the Ak does have rather a rather long magazine. You could purchase some AK spetsnaz mag's but i dont know if theyre compatible. (pointact has JG spetz mags for cheap). After next week i should be able to tell you if they are compatible. Could you wait that long? | |

| ^I was having that same inner argument, Cyma or DBoys, but the Cyma is overall a better gun. Externally, the DBoys is better, but internally and performance wise, the Cyma wins out. Of note however, the DBoys is only compatible with DBoys mags.
Either one would be a good choice, it's just up to prodigy about which he wants more.

| Well I think the CYMA is probably better considering I am looking for a light gun. I might go with that, but I will also be attending an airsoft yard sale today and I will check out what they have there. Hey Booligan if you have used them both can you tell which one is lighter I couldn't find specs on the CYMA one. I have eliminated the VA AK and will either get the JG G36c, CYMA AK-74u or maybe, possibly a Dboyi AK-74u. Thanks for the help, Theprodigy | |

| if you are looking for a light weight gun and already have 2 mags id go with the JG G36C i love mine and u do oly have to wind the mags once so i think thats a better choise over the much larger ak-74u | |

| The CYMA AKS-74U and the DBoys AKS-74U both weigh about the same, within ounces of each other. They both are full metal, with the Cyma made of "Pot metal" (but an exceptionally strong chemical composition), and the DBoys made of stamped steel. Both are available with wood handguards, depending on which version you find.
At Pointact, they have the CM035A (Cyma) which according to all the other sites is the wood grip version, and they only carry the wood version of the DBoys, so if you order from Pointact, you will be getting wood handguards.
Internally, the CYMA will have metal bushings, and some have been reported as having tightbore barrels, while the DBoys internals are iffy at best on this model.
Like I said, both have their pros and cons, but I feel that the CYMA is the better buy.

| Go G36c since there are bottom rails. The reason is, is that it is easier to stick your gun around th ecorner, and no scope with a Vertical grip.
The better choice for AKs I would say is CYMA. Yes it is made out of a metal that is easily scrached, but who cares? it will last longer than the Dboys

| Probably used. You should ask the seller if there's anything wrong with it before buying. If youre buying it in person, you should ask to test it of course. | |
