| If you're talking about a SCAR, the good ol' guys at WNYAL suggest VFC all the way. If you're going high-end, my thought is, go all the way. It's right around $400, but it might be a tad over. (at airsoft GI it's $420, but out of stock.)
I can't tell you why I'd say VFC over any other brand, but the folks at my local league say this one's the one to get. And I've learned from experience myself that sometimes paying extra is really worth it, as I have seen in my Classic Army M15A4.
Now if you're looking into the M4/16 series, I'd either look for a KWA or CA. I've got personal experience with CA, (and wnyal guys use them a lot too) so I might lean twoards them, but KWA's got some solid internals. -Bert

| For a SCAR, you have 5 choices.
-STAR: i dunno anything about it, except its out of your price range (600+!!!!)
-CA: not the best for its price
-VFC:supposed to have great externals and internals, but i really cant say much, nor can i guarantee anything.
-Dboys: externals arent completely accurate but good for the price.
-JLS: just bad, dont even consider it lol

| 6 G&G as mentioned before
I would go with VFC so many good things that I have heard about them. Also I have had the chance to shoot a CA Scar and I loved it full metal felt great and had a snakeskin design so it looked great. It was accurate but not as quite of good range as my KWA.

| For your first high end AEG try getting the KWA M4. If you need information on the gun just google it, there are multiple reviews at your disposal. | |

| the only issue with the KWA M4 is that it many people conplaineed about the accuracy and the non-working hopup so im going for the VFC but i need to find the cheapest retailer now | |

| The accuracy is good but not great on the KWA M4. When I was shooting it yesterday I would hit a 1' x 1' target at 100' about 4-6 out of 10 times. I will most likely be getting a DB barrel in it though along with a SPR GRIP. As for the hop up I have had no trouble with mine. It was easy to get adjusted and now has superb range. | |

| If the KWA is not what you are looking for, try the G&G M4 variants. From my experience they are very reliable, fast firing, and good accuracy.
Second if the G&G is not what you are looking for you could always try a G&P.

| Personally I'd go G&G, then you can use the extra $$$ for mags and accessories | |

| Well keep this in mind. If you're going to go to a cheaper alternative, the guns firepower may be the same as the cheaper alternative, but quality greatly increases as you buy higher priced models. That's the whole point of buying high-priced models. So I say, If you're going to go for a high end model, the reason would be for quality.
Don't infer that I'm saying: Don't get the G&G, but if you're thinking of getting something out of the ordinary, I don't think G&G is your best bet.
I'm just thinking that, it sounds like you've had some clone AEG experience before, and you want to step it up a bit. My honest opinion, is that G&G is not making that "step". Now I haven't held one before, but as the saying goes, you really do get what you pay for. And being so new as the company is (as in now they're producing some more reliable models), I'd say steer away from that kind of stuff. It seems like all the time people are going on WNYAL's message boards, asking "which gun is best for me?" and a lot of older more experienced players will recommend that the new player save up cash until they can get the TM, CA, whatever. And that is, simply put, because it is really worth it. And again, I'm only saying this because of how I interpreted your situation. To the new player, my personal opinion is different from that of WNYAL, as I've seen firsthand how guns like JG's perform. But if you really just want to take a step up from what you've been using, I suggest an alternative choice of airsoft gun, leaning twoards CA, TM, and ICS in specific. Just my thoughts, -Bert.

| ok ya i really agree with what you are saying and i do have some clone experience, just today i was taking the mag well of my JG G36C and the bolt on the pin that holds it on broke...it still holds it in but now i and going to have check it all the time and that makes me mad
so yea im definentaly ready to take that step and i think that i might be a good idea to stick to a M4/M16 gun as my first step into high-end jus t so i can get internals and mags that only 1 compony makes and they jack the price or something insane like that
i think i will go with CA unless i cant find anything so could someone suggest a good M4/M16 varriant and battery and if your feeling really generouse then could you suggest the whole deal?(gun, mags, battery, charger, ect.)
P.S. i hate verticle fore grips so please just save your self the time and dont even suggest one
thanks so much -Sean | |

^I'd say those are some very good results, especially for a stock gun. And KWA M4's have a lot more to offer than accuracy. I've never used a G&G, and I know they don't have a great past, but Iv'e seen reivews for their guns that make them look great. If you read this: http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/index.php?showtopic=106902I don't see how you can't be impressed (if you can't read it just become a member real quick). Just keep in mind, when you are buying a high end you want to make sure you are not getting similiar internals, QC, and performance as mid grade guns. I know it may be a shocker, but this can be the case for some high ends. All I'm saying is take your time to make the right choice.

| If you can repair them, go for a G&P , You can go on airsoft forum, and see why the G&Ps are bad, but the new ones, are supposed to be very very good, and much more "durable" than the old ones that were more.... "sensitive" and break easily. not like permanent dammage, just little clogs and stuff like that. They are put together with super good parts, they just dont really work together | |

Yup, I've never heard one bad thing. They look like they have some great stuff. Birchenboy, those all look like good choices. If you have narrowed your choices down, I would just go with model you feel looks the coolest and feels the most comfortable to hold and work with to you.

| i dont think i will be getting the P90...yet because i am ona a tight budget and i dont want to have to buy new mag pouches and that whole deal so i think i might end up going with the L85A1 or the CA M15A4 just because of cost and what/ if the airsoft/paintball/hunting/ect. store i just heard about carries them | |
