| A friend of mine has had a Well M4 for some time now, and has had LOTS of problems with it. My friend was firing it, and it just stopped shooting. Now, its like its trying to shoot when you pull the trigger, and then when you release it, it makes a clicking sound. Any idea what this might be?

| Dead motor, dead battery, shorted wiring, seized gearbox (due to poor shimming, lack of lube, misaligned piston, etc)...
It could be a lot of things.
Start with the easiest and troubleshoot from there.

| Thanks, I will have him make sure the battery is charged. If that doesn't work, I will start checking other stuff. | |

| Try it with another battery as well. Well batteries, to put it lightly, suck the big enchilada, so the battery could be dead dead, as in output voltage of 2v, lol...
Then, I would try another battery + motor, then check the wiring, and then you can determine that it's pretty much an internal issue.
At that point, it becomes a better option to skip it and get a new gun. Any money tossed towards an R6 is money tossed into the garbage. Take it from me, I've had several, lol...
The only fun I really had with one was converting it for amphibious use, which it handled surprisingly well. I should see if I still have that gun somewhere, lol...

Kind of. The stock is different, as is the front end, but the general disassembly is the same.

| Ok. I am planning on using the mechbox.com video to open the gun, and they use a Tokyo Marui M733. Do you think it is close enough? | |

| It should be close enough. The difference will be that there are no screws to remove the stock, and the front end is a little bit different, but if you're just taking it down to the gearbox, it should be close enough to work. | |
