| Boy, I feel the akward man love I'll try and get some better pics of my 47 and 74, the collection pics don't do them justice. The 47 may go two directions. It may be getting a wood kit, and some weathering, OR it'll be getting stripped down and used as the base for an MG34 build for WW2 games. The 74 will probably be getting just a wood kit and basic weathering jobbie. The 74U will stay stock, because it's dead sexy. It needs a PBS4 silencer, but that will be a ways off. | |

Eh... It fits the modern look well, but their paint quality is kind of FUBAR. It looks the part if you're going for a "US Special Forces doing dirty work" kind of gun, but if you were to go Eastern Bloc, you would probably want wood grips. Pointact sells some just for the 74U that are way cheap, and I may pick them up for honks and giggles when they come back from China. That combined with a bakelite painted pistol grip would be pretty sexy. I mean, I'm getting wood kits for pretty much all my other AKs, so why not, lol... Oddly enough, they sell Thompson wood kits as well, so I may get that as well as one of the boneyard Cyma's from Kapowwe and have a real wood Thompson for under $100. Luckily, I live about 10 miles away from Pointact's warehouse now, so I can visit them all the time, lol... No $100 minimum when you buy up front

| Here is my JG AK-47 RIS There is a story behind this.... Lol The AK was not firing (this was after I got my KWA M4) so I took apart the gearbox and found that not only was one gear almost completely striped but another was almost broken in half! I did managed to save the motor, spring, piston, and the battery. And yes the battery was fully charged. So I decided to play a little prank on my friends. I taped the body back together, and pretended that I had not got a new gun. When the first game started I yelled at a friend on the opposing team that I had hit him, he (as is his nature) denied it. So I tossed my gun at a nearby bunker and it broke into a bunch of pieces just as I had planed. Then I went to my car where I had stashed my M4, grabbed it, then started to unleash the mad fury of my KWA. At the end of the game we all had a good laugh, and some envy of my new gun (: . I still cant believe they did not realize that there was no trigger... lol | |

| Nice AKs, they never really worked for me though, since the inconvience in the sights, which are harder, to get used to than a M4 etc. Also I dont like how full auto is before semi on the fire selector..... bar like switch. Booligan, I cant believe how many men are hitting on you..... I have a sense that this is a gay pride forum. | |

| I have an Cyma AKS 74U. Stock, with re-stained foregrips and I weathered the whole body.
If you're looking for an Element PBS-4, Booligan, good luck. They're very hard to find. Danmu's PBS-5 is nice but you'll need to find an 14mm to 24mm adaptor to fit it.
You should give your CM.031 a little character, Booligan. Slap an Danmu GP30 on it, lol...

| ^I was actually thinking of picking up a GP30, but the fact that it cost more than the original gun kinda turned me off, lol... I know the pain of the PBS-4, lol, it's getting to be IMPOSSIBLE to find. I don't want the PBS-5 either, I think it looks goofy. Looks like whenever I want to supress mine, I'll have to use the old "misc badguy found an american silencer and jerry rigged it to his AK" reasoning as to why there's a Troy Industries can on my AK I will probably be picking up a wood kit for the 031 and weathering the hell out of it, so it looks like an early pre-polymer furniture version. I'll need to make the mags look bakelite myself, but that's an easy paintjob. My 035 may or may not stay the same, I can't decide if I want to get wooden foregrips to replace the craptastic Echo 1 black ones. So many options with AK's... | |

| Wooden foregrips are a must for an AKSU, I'll try to get some pic's up of my .035. Sadly I was disgusted when E1 put "5.54×39mm" on the .035. Maybe I'm a picky purist, but I don't like little things like that...
The Leapers scope mount is also a must for your 031 or 035. I put a DSA 1× red dot on my 035 and it's been gravy since then, I refuse to dish out $300 for a Kobra red dot. But a PSO-1 will look good on the 031, and $120 isn't too bad for the quality you're getting...

| I feel ya on the messed up trades. Maybe it really is that hard to get a digit right Luckily, I live near pointact, who has the wood grips for the 035 for $15 or so, and $30ish for the 031. I'm actually picking up a CYMA side mount next week. It's a little bit lower profile and doesn't have the side rail, which is kinda useless in my opinion. It'll be getting a simple reflex sight, which should be a decent look, not TOO tacticool (can't piss off the purists, lol). Welcome aboard Darko, nice to have someone who can hold a good conversation without asking which gun they should get, lol... | |

| Hey, it's nice to be a member. I try not to post about things I don't know about, and I'm the type of person that can make up my mind for myself ... It's nice to see some AK fans, most people I know just talk about M4's, M16's, M14's and MP5's. | |
