| There is a CQB place being built near my house so I wanted to get a good cqb gun. I was wondering what guns have a really high ROF. I don't really want to buy a high end gun because I will just trick out this gun and it will be a back up. So the ROF would be with a 9.6 since those aren't hard to find. If anybody knows a good CQB gun with a good ROF please reccomend it here thank you. | |

| Stock? TM Famas is a great option. With an 8.4v battery, low 20's are normal.
Modified, anything can be made to have a high ROF, it just depends on your budget.

| Once you replace the crapola stock battery on the Galaxy MP5K/PDW, I've heard it has a pretty good rof. TMs are out because they aren't supposed to use a 9.6, but they have a good rof with an 8.4.
There are new CA sportline MP5s that have a full metal receiver. You could upgrade those........
just throwing out suggestions.

| Yeah, my friend has a spring famas and it felt a little bulky. (I know the spring famas isn't the same as the TM, but they are both the same length) | |

It's really not that bad. For CQB, I honestly wouldn't use anything else personally. The bullpup layout makes it very comfy to use, and mags are easy to change once you practice. Mag availability is a pain BUT you can change it up to use M4 mags, and then you're good to go. Honestly, if you want a gun that will pretty much last forever, and be absolutely decimating in CQB, I would seriously look at a FAMAS.

| If you want to downgrade the spring on the VA MP5, those have a fast ROF. (even with an M120 they still have a rof as good as my G36C)
booligan knows what he is talking about. Tm's pretty much last forever.

| I don't need it to last forever though and I personally don't like the famas so any other reccomendations and this is in the mid end category for a reason . | |

| Well, the next highest ROF I've tested on a stock gun, MPEG or not was the JG Ika Zuchi (Thunder Maul) but the style certainly isn't for everyone. I was getting almost 17 RPS on an 8.4v stock battery. The rest of the '08 JG M4's shoot slower because they have a hotter spring, lowering the ROF. One last FAMAS pitch, I promise: They can be found used for about $100 usually. I paid that much for mine. Ok, I'm done suggesting the TM FAMAS, lol Basically, it will be a difference of 3-4 RPS between the slowest and the fastest stock ROF, so just pick a small gun that you're comfortable with. | |

| Check classifieds. I found my choice of 3 on ASRetreat under $120 and 1 locally for $100, so I took the local deal. $100 for the gun, battery, 3 mags and a scope mount. Can't beat that deal!
Galaxy MP5's need a rewire, new motor, reshim and relube, and a good battery to get a high ROF.

| Well if I was gonna get the Galaxy MP5k I would get it from wholesale central for $56 which leaves 44 to spend on mags or other nonsense from that place. I would probably have an extra $125 so what upgrades should I buy sight claw, mount, EG 1000? | |

| I would get a G&P high speed motor personally, better battery, some mags, and a soldering iron/wire/deans plugs to rewire | |

| I don't know how to solder but I think I can do the other stuff and I can get the gun and 5 mags for $99 at the wholesale place. | |

| I know rewiring the galaxy mp5k (stock wiring is crap) would help the ROF substantially but look at this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkU6N3GSFHAJust a new battery and new motor and already the gun has a great rof. Booligan, do you know of any rewiring guides for the mp5k or that type of gearbox (i.e. what kind of wires to use, placement of wires etc.) | |

| Just take the stock wiring out and solder in new stuff. Use 16g for easiest fit and less resistance.
No guides necessary, just take out the stock set, note where it goes, and redo it.
