| Depends on the uniform desired.
BDU.com is a great all around shop. They carry great products in pretty much every cut and color a US airsofter could want (They lack flecktarn, DPM, etc, but almost no US shops carry those).
For great bootleg (i.e. fake) Crye cut Multicam, ebaybanned can't be beat. They have some of the best fake MC stuff that I have seen. It's so good, that Crye got them kicked off ebay (hence the ebaybanned, lol)
Cheaperthandirt occasionally has flecktarn stuff for cheap, such as the awesome flak jacket on there now. BDU's are hit and miss, sometimes they have fleck and wustentarn for good prices, but it's not always in stock. Gotta check for that.
Cheapest price on REAL surplus uniforms will pretty much always be at your local surplus store or ebay. Good quality, authentic look, and usually less than $30 for a full set. Your selection will vary by whatever you can find.
Good luck! | |

| I was worried that was the case... I think I will look at some local stores... I do believe that a store will sell me pants and a jacket for about 40$... He only has digital though. Is that stuff any good? | |

| Depends on your environment. ACU is junk unless you play on the moon or a paisley sofa. MARPAT is great for decidious woodland. Jungle, not so much. Desert MARPAT is good desert camo, but a LITTLE too dark for my environment. Urban digital is good night camo, in an urban setting obviously.
Like I said, depends on the pattern and the pattern.

| I like MARPAT the best (desert and woodland) but that may just be because my team uses it. And Booligan you don't play on paisley sofa's?!?!?! That's the greatest envioronment. | |

| Well I play in both desert and woodland environments, depending on the season. It seems to be that there must be something to that ACU if the government put it into action... | |

| Oxymoron for you military intelligence . But seriously most people find ACU's to be just flat out dumb. I would reccomend MARPAT it blends it very nicely. | |

| Honestly, ACU is ugly, but it can be pretty effective in many areas.
Its like the argument how AKs are SO much better than M16s. If these people on the internet knew so much more, then the military leaders wouldnt have a job right now.

It's all about $$$. It performed marginally better (arbitrary ratings, nothing based in solid fact) in the two test environments they publicly released, and it was the cheapest option available. In all honesty, I have no clue what environments they tested it in, because I've seen ACU in urban, desert, high desert, woodland, jungle, etc and it ALWAYS sticks out. I have YET to see a place where it blends like it's supposed to. MC blends so much better, and the individual camo patterns (MAR, DCU, DESMAR, Woodland) all work great in their set environments. ACU just plain doesn't blend well in any environment I've ever seen it in. AirsoftMan, don't get me started on the AK vs AR debate, everyone knows the Mosin Nagant is the greatest firearm ever made, lol: http://7.62x54r.com/MosinID/MosinHumor.htmOn a serious note, the military DOES NOT always choose the best option. They choose the most cost effective option with the least amount of necessary compromises. Look at why they had junk body armor for the first part of GW2. It was too expensive to equip everyone with the best stuff. Same reason why they aren't replacing all these vehicles that are getting shredded by IED's with the Grizzly and other IED resistant vehicles. Money. I won't even go into the politics part of the military equipment selection process, because that is more sordid and even downright scandalous, plus I don't feel like typing all day, lol... If anyone has any more questions, PM me, and we can continue the discussion elsewhere. Ya might learn somethin'

| I decided to get MARPAT, I think It looks good, and will work well in Woodland. I already have desert camo pants so I will just get a desert camo shirt and wear it under my tac vest for the dry season. | |

| I bought ACU from Fatigues Army/Navy. Since I will be playing mostly urban/indoor with some woodland, I figured it would work well. It blends in crazy well with a lot of environments. Unfortunately you will stick out like a sore thumb in a dark environment, mine is pale and bright with even the slightest amount of light on it. Fits well, but get a size smaller jacket than what you think you need, the jackets fit somewhat large. | |
