KWA M4 or G&G M4?

I posted this on several forums so I can get several opinions. So far, it's gone both ways lol

I know these topics are getting old and you don't like "spoon" feeding, but I have read reviews and I'm still not sure. No gun feels "right" as of now.

This is my first high end AEG, so I want it to last a very long time.

I would say KWA M4. I have seen the KWA G36c in a game, and it was insane. However, i have had no experience with G&Gs.

KWA M4, for sure. The internals surpass those of the G&G, but either gun will be one of the best guns on the field.

actually that's not quite true FDSA. The internals may be better, but there are quite a bit of reports of KWAs breaking down compared to G&G. (this may be because KWA sells more)

I say KWA because it has better internals ,but either one would be good.
Also, what has gone wrong in kwa's guns?

look on other forums. Quite a bit of people are having lemons. (I hope that didn't come off harsh) This could be one reason. Say if two companies have the same lemon rate. If company A sells more guns than company B, company A will obviously have more lemons because they are selling so many.

I would say G&G is selling far more AEGs than KWA.....

Anyway I think either will be a great gun, but I cant be sure of KWAs reliability as of yet, plus have never fired one.

Well I say KWA M4, I have many reasons, that can argue for both sides.

G&G have a nicer metal body IMO, they don't have that stupid KWA logo on it.

G&G's can be pick about what batteries they take and that I think is because the new motors they are putting in their guns are weird. They have no markings on them at all, they are just grey and a maroonish red color.

The G&G does surpass the KWA in accuracy, the KWA I'm pretty sure comes with a 6.05mm but I feel like mine is more of a 6.08.

The people that I know that have owned KWA's love them, I love mine but then again mine has a lot of aftermarket parts, i.e. crane stock, rewire, 10.8v, RAS, grenade launcher (oh baby), DBC barrel and hopefully a 35mW green laser.

As for KWA's reliablilty I know 3 KWA owners who I can consider friend's and no one has had troubles. Some people may have problems because people are trying to run LiPos on them, and LiPos require special care.

The G&G's reliability has been growing but not on me I have had troubles with 2 G&G's in both they were pick about what batteries they took and in one I had bad wiring.

The RoF on the KWA surpasses the G&G, I think this is because the newer G&G's have bad motors but once again I'm not positive on that. My KWA can run on a 8.4v 1100mah battery, the G&G I had only ran on a 9.6v 1500mah or 8.4v 4500mah (which didn't fit.)

Either gun you get you will be happy, with the G&G you get a nice DMR base and with the KWA you get a lot of FPS, range and RoF. Each guns have it's pros and cons your never gonna have the "perfect" airsoft gun but after some work you may be close like me .

Yea, they're both great to begin with so if you want you can put some money into them (TB, new battery, external accessories, etc.) and make them excellent guns.

KWA advertises them as LiPoly ready, which they are. At a basic level at least. I do not recommend putting a LiPoly battery in the KWA in stock condition, the gun is only fit to handle it at a basic level. It will not last very long on that type of battery without reinforcing some of the internals and adding a MOSFET. That may explain the high lemon rate you talked off. People who are not experienced putting these batteries in the AEG without doing some upgrading.

Put a LiPoly in any G&G M4 and its sudden death. At least the KWA can handle the LiPoly for a decent amount of time before showing wear.

As far as KWA selling more, I highly disagree it, though I may be wrong.

I worded that wrong. I meant maybe KWA sells more, which could explain the lemon rate.

I've heard of a lot of problems even when they aren't using lipos.

Well we need to know a little bit more about what you want to do/ what your role in airsoft is. If I'm laying down cover fire I would definately want my KWA in my hands, but if I'm trying to take someone out in semi I would probably want the G&G.

I just want a gun that is reliable. I will add a tb later on if I got the KWA. (the stock barrel can't be any worse than my E1 G36C lol)

I don't think that just because G&G comes with a TB, it should be a deciding factor, since I would replace the one that comes with it for a better one.

I just want to pick the gun that will be more reliable.

Then I would go KWA, G&G's are improving but I still got two bad ones and have not had a problem with my KWA. If you really want reliability go for a TM. I can't see any problems with my KWA the only thing that is hard is disassembling it. You have to take off EVERYTHING.

If you are looking for reliablility, If you think about it, both companies are very reliable already, there is still the chance you can get a lemon from either company. And prodigy, I feel sorry for you.

prodigy, why are they hard to disassemble? Do you mean taking off the outer barrel and such or just getting to the gearbox?

If they are hard to disassemble, that is one more thing that is making me not like the gun.

They're just different you have to take everything off not just the pins it's not that much harder.

hmmm after reading through this thread, though this seems to be off topic (KWA M4 CQB), im wondering if this, compared to the G&G GR-16, is the CQB version of the KWA M4 still effective during woodland game types??

Since they both have a balancing FPS (355-360), and they are both pretty much the same price $260, does the KWA M4 CQB perform great outdoors? And great performance than the GR-16???

G&G will probabaly have a better hop up, and hence have greater range.

Ive never seen a KWA up colse, so this is based off the people who say the KWA hop up is only ok.

My G&G hop up was crap sometimes it worked somtimes it didn't by KWA hop up is great. I always get more range with my KWA then I did with my G&G.

hmm so will the KWA internals last longer?? Due to its ready for Li-Po?

I've read a ton about KWAs and a lot of people have been running for 70,000-90,000 rounds on a lipo and the only thing that was wrong was the piston had some wear. (or they had to replace it)

That is AMAZING!

The KWA will most likely last a lot longer. (if you are using the same battery)
