The gun came with .2 gram bbs, which i'm guessing are .20 gram, i currently have .12 and i read that they might damage the gun. Im curious weather or not to go to walmart and get a couple thousand rounds of .20 or if im good with the .12s that i have,

thanks again,

Short and simple answer: Buy .20g or higher weight bb's for any AEG.

Longer answer:
Get some nice, good quality .20g or higher bb's. Bad bb's can do damage to the gun, so I'd stick to a good brand of BB's, such as Airsoft Elite, and KSC perfects, to name a few.
In my opinion, .12 will not damage the gun, but I've never heard of a good brand of .12g bb's. They will also be a lot less accurate in your G36.

In my JG Sig 552, .20g bb's seem to work just fine, but even stepping up to .25's made the accuracy quite a bit better.

And yes, .20 = .2

But .02, well, that's just my two cents. Smile
-Bert.

I have heard of .12s causing problems, however I do not know for sure that they will. They are usually EXTREMELY poor quality though, so that could mess up your gun.

My favorite are .25s, but for that gun you can also use .20s (Same as .2s) .23s, or .28s.

Well, those are better than the .12s. I know a lot of people who use Crossmans in their Echo1s with no problems, so they should be OK.

I have heard, that using .12s in an AEG, the bullets are so light, it is like dry firing the gun.

I don't like to use them because they are not polished and are prone to jamming.

I use TSD .25s ,they work well.

.12s are usually of low quality so they will probably scratch your barrel plus they are too light to be accurate.

Thanks ill probably pick some up this weekend at wally world, They'll have to do for now, I;m not shooting that much so it shouldn't be a problem with the .12s until i get new bbs.
Another quick question, I jsut spent $120 on my AEG and that may not seem like alot to you guys cause your way into airsofting but it's more than enough from my point of veiw so i want to take the best care of my G36 that i can. I have an 8.4v battery and charge it for 2 hours, I have a friend who over charged his battery for his JG S-System M4 and killed it. jsut want to play on the safe side. Whats the normal charge time for this battery type (8.4v)?

thanks,

TSDs are great and really cheap 5000 for 15 bucks of .25s or .2s. (KSCs and AEs are 3000 .25s for 15)

I just picked up some to try them out and they seem just as accurate as KSCs. (I don't think they would be good for a TB though)

The voltage doesn't matter. You need to know the batt's mAh and the trickle charger's mA output (which should be written on a label on it somewhere). Divide the batt's mAh with the charger output and thats how many hours you should charge it.

Better idea though: forget what I just said and get a smart charger.

Crossmans are TERRIBLE. They will most likely jam your gun. Just get a bag of TSDS from AGSI.

There is a shop in AZ, but it's around Bell, which is very far away from you. I refuse do business with them because they lied to me when the fixed my gearbox. They claimed I lost a part called a "cam" and it was an important part for the gears. I have found no such part. (the only things for gears are shims) The only "cam" I found was a thing that holds the anti reversal latch in place, but that was V2s. If that is the part, it wasn't in my gun when I opened it.

Crossmans will work, but you might want to look through the bbs so see if you find any square bbs....... Rolling Eyes

Yea, when I tried to use them in my gas Uzi it immediately jammed.
They are like BBs covered in sandpaper.
