| It's a pretty decent gun, but get it from airsplat. It's only 100 bucks there and if you get a mag, shipping would be free. (I think airsplat free shipping is a 110 and up) | |

They aren't bad guns........ My friend has the UMP and it is a pretty decent gun. The range is pretty bad, so I suggest you upgrade the bucking. The accuracy is pretty good. The shimming is terrible on those guns, so you might want to do that right away. My friend's DE UMP has lasted him 2 years with no maintenance. (other than barrel cleaning. That means no shimming or regreasing) Keep in mind, that we only play like once a month. So it hasn't seen too many rounds. I suggest you get the G&G UMP, but if you really really like the UMP and don't want to spend much, the DE UMP is decent. (I suggest you reshim it or have ASGI do it)

| well if it's going to need some upgrades right out of the box i'm not sure it's worth the money and i don't think it would keep up with my G36 very well being i can hit a tin can at about 80-90 feet with .20s | |

| No, you've probably seen five moderators. There is only one admin, and his user name is Admin, so it should be easy. | |

| But that is why I dont trust Double Eagle, not using it in comparison, just why I dont trust them, without a doubt, the I know the UMP is probably good, but I dont trust double eagle, because for a crappy LPEG.= | |

| JG used to make crappy LPEGs. I owned one.
That is a really dumb reason not to like a brand. G&G first generation guns were crappy because people were always getting lemons, do not like them too?

| ive never got a first gen G&G, the first gen of TM, rifles, which is basicly their first AEG is the FAMAS, and who wasnt impressed?
And I dont believe that is a first gen gun..
I am also very very VERY biased against MPEGs and you know that, keep that in mind

| The FAMAS is VERY unimpressive compared to their new models. All plastic body that is exceptionally creaky, gearbox that uses a ton of noncompatible parts, difficult to upgrade due to lack of spare parts, etc...
The only things it has going for it are that it is unique, has a spring decompresser, has a wicked ROF stock, and that it will pretty much last forever if you keep it stock.
People weren't disappointed in it back then because it was the first AEG by TM. They had nothing to compare it to, but if you compare it to, say, a TM T89, it'll look like a pile of junk externally, and will have so-so internals by today's standards.
It's all about relativity.

| well wouldn't it make sense that all first gen guns for a particular company wouldn't be great? i mean they are still working bugs out of the system! so thats completely understandable. and yes the LPEGS SUCK!!!!! i'm never gettiing another one again!
and that is a bad reason to dislike a company! lol
