| Basic Information: I purchased this airsoft gun from a retailer near me called "Kapowwe." It cost me 129.99, but it can cost way less because I bought a combo. If you are okay with a plastic slide, you can buy this gun for about 75. With the combo pack, it came with a speed loader, both CO2 and green gas mags, interchangeable wood simulant grips, metal carrying case and three CO2 gas canisters.
Product Description/First Impressions: When they handed the gun across the counter to me, it was all in the nice little carrying case. When I got into the car, I opened up the case and picked up the gun. I was amazed at how much it weighed, because I had never held a full metal airsoft pistol. From pictures of the real gun, the gun looks very real. From far away it looks more realistic than close up, but if it wasn't for the orange tip, it would probably be mistaken for a real gun. Though up close you can start to see the unrealistic part of it; on the side it says, "Cal.6mm 2003," whic isn't really that bad. It is about 3-4 lbs. maybe, and it is app. 6x4x1.5 in. It is a very comfortable weight in your hands, and of course in a pistol most of the weight is in the handle. The whole gun is metal, except the interchangeable grips are rubber and plastic, but that will be somewhat difficult to break if on gun.
Grips: The grips are designed to be able to change between simulate wood and simulate black metal. I suggest not changing them, however, because there is a spring that is stopped from coming out of the gun by the plate. I took off the plate and that spring went flying and it took me about a half an hour to find out where it went (the gun will not fire without this spring). The weapon is a perfect fit to any hand; allowing you to pull the trigger very fast for fast fire even though it is semi-auto.
Stock: It's a pistol.....no stock.
Sights: I believe this has the same sights as the army M190. The sights are not adjustable, and you cannot put a scope on it unless you mod the weapon (or have some weird scope). You could also put a laser sight on this, which would actually help a lot.
Barrel: The inner barrel is 4.5 in. (I will get back to this when I find a metric ruler), I have no idea what kind the inner barrel is, nor do I know how to find out. Does not have a flash suppressor.
Hopup: No hopup that I know of.
Trigger: The trigger is very smooth when pulling back, and it conforms to your finger perfectly. The trigger is metal, and if you have the resources, you might be able to buy a new trigger if needed (but it's metal). I don't believe you can adjust the trigger.
Power: This gun is powered by CO2 and green gas (depending upon which mag you use). The power source is in the magazine, and I guess you could upgrade it with red gas.
Magazine: This weapon uses magazines, and my combo pack came with two magazines. The CO2 magazine holds 35 bb's and is app. 350 fps, whereas the green gas magazine uses 25 bb's and is app. 305 fps. I dont think there are any other magazines for ths gun.
Real Steel History: The real weapon is made by Beretta. The Beretta M9 (M190) is the standard issue pistol of the American army. It is a very accurate replica in size and weight.
Peformance Characteristics: Everything works perfectly, but sometimes after firing the last bb in the mag, it doesn't always go in the locked back slide position (this is not usual, and doesnt really matter). Also gun gets jammed if you are firing straight up (all you have to do is edited obscenity gun upside-down to unjam). Range and groupings will done with each type of magazine. With the green gas magazine, it can be accurate to a human target at over 100 feet.
Accessories/Modifications: Well get gas first of all to go with it, then if you want you can get a propane adapter for it to run off of propane. You will need a speed loader to reload, and I suggest carrying both clips around on the field, as it takes about one min to reload each mag. You can get anything in this combo pack, but it will be hard to obtain the grips without buying the combo pack.
Conclusion: Pros:
LOTS of kinetic energy
All metal, realistic
Firm kick from the BlowBack (more kick if using CO2)
Non-faulty fires
Very impressive to both shoot and watch
Cons:
Hard to load green gas into mag (I broke a canister of green gas pressing to hard in the wrong angle. Also if you are transporting green gas in combat, be sure to not have the metal tip on the green gas and have the lid on the green gas. My friend did not have the lid on the green gas and the metal tip was on, and he broke the green gas tip off. But we had fun throwing the green gas on concrete to make it spew out gas.)
No full-auto feature
Orange paint on the tip easily scratches off (if you do not have a orange tip law this could be a good thing)
The Down Right Ugly:
It's a beauiful gun. (none)
I would really recommend the weapon to others if you can obtain it, and if the price is okay with you. A really good gun for a backup weapon when reloading, etc.

Ok, good start, suggestions would be:
Try to get to 1000 Make your sections bold try to put a little more info fro some of your sections pics groupings
Other than that, this is a very good start.

| lol its still in progress...but I did it right before school, so I didnt have much time to do stuff in enough detail to where I am satisfied. When I am done with this review, it will be way more than 1000 words.
Oh yeah, how do I test groupings?

| Take 10 shots at a good distance, at a paper target, then measure the distance from each shot, from the bullseye, in inches or mm.
then take the average of the 10 shots.

| For a Handgun:
50 and 75ft. would both be good
For AEG:
75 and 125ft. would be good

| ^^ Pyro, he Booli posted that before you made the improvements.
It looks much better now.
Also, do you have Firefox? It has a built in spell checker that can save you a lot of time.

| Booligan your full of it.....I doubt unless this forum gets popular you will ever have another HFC M9 review, so I would appreciate someone who has the gun and is wasting their time to write this review for only a few other people.
And I am not saying I am wasting my time and I do not wish to write this I am saying that people don't have to write reviews.
