| Which gun would you like for performance versatility? e.g. woodland and some fairly close (not quite what you would call cqb) combat. Please explain. | |

| I would have to say out of the bunch, a M4/M4 derivative would suit your needs.
I voted G&G GR16.
This is why I believe it is the best.
It features a full metal construction, and the receiver material is of a magnesium alloy, which is widely regarded superior to the machined aluminum of the ICS M4s. and of course it is superior to the pot metal on the CA M15s.
The internals feature a 6.035mm stock tight bore, a reinforced 7mm bearing gearbox, steel gears, metal bearing spring guide and a 25K RPM motor.
Not to mention this gun get 360 FPS stock.

| What are you going to be using it for? I would say probably get an ICS or G&G. | |

| They are generally regarded as some of the best high-ends.
They have also released plastic body guns, but with the same internals, for a much lower price.

| Umm... well VFC and G&P are generally better than ICS or G&G.
In stock form, imo G&Gs are the best high ends under 400$, omit G&P.

| When it comes to stock gearbox, KWA has the best, Booligan even said that in a earlier topic.
Now, I am not saying KWA is better than VFC or Systema, just that KWA does have a better M4 in stock condition than the GnG.
To answer the topic question, I voted KWA M4A1.

| ^^ You are referring to the old versions of the HK416 they manufacture.
All of their guns can take a 12v battery without any internal upgrades, they feature 7mm gearboxes, with all of the high end likes inside.
