| Just a short nine hours ago I purchased the UTG M4 A1 for $295. Please do not give me stuff saying what a waist, should have got the KWA, I didn't and thats that. I am expecting to post pictures of my new replica in early January and a full review in Q1 2008. If you ask how was I able to afford this? For x-mas I recieved a AE Mp5 which ended up getting returned for cash back, and I loaded the cash + some onto a card and ordered it via airsoftgi.com. I wish to not get into why I returned the AE, its a long story I wish to not explain. (+1 advantage for a walk in store) In order for the review to be the best it can, please tell me some things you would like to see in the review. For those who don't know, this is the UTG M4A1. Made in America.I am not on the forum alot, so if you have questions it may take time to get answered by me.

| Im currently working on a new review guidelines, that will tell the reviewer what is mandatory, and what is optional, when it comes to reviews.
That will help you. Now, i would like to see you do a whole performance test, including poor mans chrono, groupings, and ROF.

| Thanks for the replies guys.
I just noticed I had entered Q1 2008 for my time frame of review, which I am betting few understood. Quarter One 2008 would be January through March. Within that time frame a review will be published.

| After emailing some retailers I have been able to get a good idea of the externals and internals. I will show you below what I have been able to find out.
*Stamped steel spring guide (no bearing) *Metal bushings *Steel gears *The metal is stamped (according to shortyusa.com email) *reinforced gearbox *M110 spring *Poly carbonate piston *16 Gauge wiring *15 rounds a second or 900RPM on 8.4v *90 day warranty (i will be using all 90 days) *Assembled in America, made in China
Overall, the externals are junk along with internals. I honestly believe a JG will outlast the UTG replica.

| UTG Review Well where to start this review besides the order process from hell. To start off I ordered the UTG on the 28th and was charged on the 30th. Five minutes after the gun displayed out of stock. So after calling Airsoftgi.com for the status of my order I was told it was the last one in stock and shipping tomorrow. Overall good news for me. About 20 minutes later I get called back, Tim tells me that the UTG is defective and refuses to fire. Now Airsoftgi being as great as they are gave me a full refund and canceled my order without delay. Must love those guys. Now I have decided to either order the GnG Gr16 or more computer parts. The below order is one of two orders I placed on the same day. | |
