Here are some FAQ about the mod position and how to be considered for it:
First and foremost, it will be your actions on this forum that will dictate whether you are considered for mod.
Experience will be critical and you will need to be VERY familiar with AEG disassembly, brand names, gun types etc...
Maturity is the next biggest factor! Now, this can manifest itself in many different ways, some of which cannot be fully named here.
Examples of things I will be looking at;
If I see a member who is overly "Silly"either in the chatbox or on the forum, I will likely not consider that person.
Insulting/condiscending behavior = not good
Lack of respect for the Admin or Mods = not good
Ability to take constructive criticism in stride w/o getting mad and retaliating = VERY GOOD!
Diplomacy skills to resolve conflicts = OUTSTANDING!
Ability to be firm and to uphold the ASR rules even when its difficult = very good
There are of course more factors and this list is not all inclusive but it should help you to get the idea.
Now,
if you are under the age of 18 you will need to have your parents approve of your participation as moderator on ASR.
If selected you would need to print out the waiver we send you, mail it back to us before you would be allowed to be a mod.
I am willing to talk with your parents if need be.
Finally,
any applicants will need to submit resumes to me that outline the folowing key facts. You may add to this list, but you may not omit any of the following:
Age
Number of Years actively playing airsoft. (Be sure and specify when you got your first AEG and if you have disassembled it or not.)
Job specific skills (I.e. prior mod experience and provide links, job experience, academic experience etc...)
Reason you feel you would make a good mod.

Assume for the following questions, that you have been made moderator
1. You have gotten complaints from members that one of the less experienced members is "Driving away 'better' members". What, if any, actions do you take?
2. A member has created a topic that has a poorly worded title, has average grammar and is clearly looking for information that you know has been answered on this forum already. What action if any, do you take?
3. Which do you value more? Honor or Success?
4. Which do you value more? Winning or Honesty?
5. Which do you value more? Popularity or Loyalty?
The decision on who will be mod will not be made quickly.
The most important factors in the decision will be how you handle yourself on this forum.
Try to act as if you were already a mod. and conduct yourself accordingly.
