Once again, I'll refer you to one of my reviews, lol: http://www.airsoftretreat.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=189&cat=fav

Great gun, just needs a few things to make it even better.

My friend has this gun (In fact, he shot me with it in a game) Its
extremely compact, and the accuracy and range is very good. His was defective, and broke after one day, but once he got it fixed its a very good gun.

If you get it buy a new battery because the stock one is bad. Also, if you want you can get an extra mag. Overall, the gun is good shooting at 320fps and 120' accurately. Its good for a side arm for woodland or a primary for CQB but no so much as a primary for woodland.

Great gun
-Yea, I would recomend it, but I would also recommend the buyer to perform some little fixes on it.

-The exterior looks and feels pretty durable to me. The internals are...good, but they could def. use some simple cleaning/reshimming

-Type V2.5 GB, lol. It has a V3 upper, but it does not have a motor cage...But, you can use a V3 guide/video to work on your GB.

-When you get it, if you want the best out of it, this is what you should do:
reshim
relube (stock it comes with some nasty green lube stuff in the GB)
Def. needs a new battery, the stock battery is horid, as in you will get a very slow rof with it.
IMO, cut/compress/replace the spring, I have seen the heavy spring do some damage in the GB (not with my mp5k, someone else's), if you bring it down to about 300ish fps, it will put a lot less stress on the GB.
^The shimming, lubing, and spring fixing are things that should be done, but don't have to...Like I said, if you want to get the best out of your gun, then you should do those, but the gun should be fine stock with a new battery...
After those you are pretty much good to go.
If you want a cheap, good, and fun gun, get it...

What are the differences between the Galaxy and the E1?

The only difference that I know of is that the E1 version comes with a rail ,but other than that I think they are the same. Also, the E1 version is about $140 and the galaxy version is $100.

I was thinking about getting this gun, but the ROF is pretty bad, I bought the stockless version of it a while back or just the galaxy mp5k, and it was average, nothing surprising though

They are pretty much the same thing, both running of a 7.2v battery. I would keep the MP5k and use it as a sidearm, or secondary weapon.

Both the Galaxy and Echo1 MP5K and PDW come with an 8.4v stick battery, not a 7.2v...

The difference is that the Echo 1 comes with a scope mount and a spare K style base cap. Now, you can convert theGalaxy PDW into a stockless K model easily with no other parts necessary, so it's not really a deciding factor.

In other words, there is no reason to get the normal mp5k (not pdw), and the only REAL thing echo has over the galaxy/tsd is that it comes with the low profile scope mount. If you want to know how to remove the stock from the pdw version just read booligan's review on airsoftretreat.com

Yeah, its a 8.4volt 1100mah battery and it gives the gun a really bad rof.

You can toss a 9.6v stick battery in it, but you need to modify the cocking handle.

I had much just fine results with an 8.4v intellect stick battery. No cutting, no modding, just plug and play!

How would you modify the charging handle. Do you need to cut off a part of the inside or something?

^Yep. You need to cut off part of the inside of the handle to allow for the length of the extra cell.

That's because the original is an eight cell and the 9.6volt is nine cells right? Also, how would you get to it?

Nope, the original is 7 cells, and the 9.6v is 8. Close though, lol...

Look on youtube for AirsoftHawaii's tutorials, he has full breakdown videos of the Galaxy MP5K PDW.

With an intellect 8.4v, less, but still there
With an 11.1v lipo, what's semi? lol...

Lol, yup, new motor and battery gets rid of semi lock-up. Something else cool I noticed about this gun is that the cocking handle does not hit the gun when it slaps forward, so in other words, HK slap away! Iv'e done it a ton of times and there is no wear visible. Say "-" represents the coking handle, and "|" is where it hits the gun. The reason the handle breaks on a lot of aeg mp5's is because it hits the wall |- like that...but on the galaxy, it is spaced out, therefore it does not make contact with the "wall": | -. Kinda cool. *Note, maybe this is only on my model, I take no responsibility for your cocking handle flying off. Do this at your own risk.
