Zoxna airsoft is developing a Artillery gun/Mortar that supposedly is capably of a range of 200 meters and it says it runs on green gas or CO2.
Don't know about the price though. It's probably going to be a lot.

It is on the bottom of the page.

Only the scope has a range of 200 meters. I highly doubt that the projectile will actually be capable of going that far. Looks cool though.

Good find!

I think that Tipmann had a paintball mortar years ago (Though I cannot be sure about the brand).

I love the idea of mortars so this could be seriously cool tech if they implement it properly.

Frankly, a paint round would make the most sense to me and I'm surprised we havn't seen this type of thing more.

Ill be keeping my eye on this.

Thanks for the link!

I hope that it is affordable so a team can buy one and set up a mortar squad. That would be awsome.

Yeah I was questioning that considering the real M4 has an effective range of about 300 meters I believe?

it would be cool, but they would have to make a projectile that is not expensive and is not re-usable. (I would NOT want to hunt around for something lol)

Here is an example of what I'm talking about.

The principle is really quite simple and as I said, it makes the most sense to me to use a paintbaloon type set up.

Disposable, safe and inexpensive.
