I am now looking at possibly a new gas gun. My favorite style is the desert eagle chrome the only brand I know that makes that is mauri so I am intrested to hear what you guys think about the mauri and if you don't like it can you provide a better desert eagle. The other gun I was looking at was a KWA G18c. If you have other reccomendations for very good gas guns I will take those too. Vote and explain why please.

Thank you

Get the Deagle, my cousin has it, it is very confortable to hold, and is pretty light
the gun itself is fairly long barrelled and accurate, and good FPS
metal makes it look real
I like the desert eagle

I should be getting the glock in a few days, if UPS 3 day select doesn't get delayed again...

KWA's pistols are upgradeable by purchasing high flow valves, new slides, rails, and better springs. I wouldn't recommend it, though, as more gas consumption will mean less firing per fill. Plus, I'm not sure that even those upgrades would make a substantial difference in performance, so your best bet is just to leave it stock. (Any other cosmetic changes however are super cool and totally awesome, and won't effect performance)

As per one over the other, I thought of going for the Deagle, since I play cs a lot and I really love the gun. It's huge, and it kicks like a... metaphor. The glock, however, is also in CS, and in airsoft, seems more practical. I can't tell you that the deagle takes more fills of gas per mags, but if you put together the hard kick, the large size, etc. one would probably be safe to assume the Deagle has a higher gas consumption.

And for the WE.... I haven't heard much good from them. From reviews I've read, they're gas hogs, sometimes one mag (or even less) per fill of gas. Obviously we can't be certain as I haven't used it, and since it's just a review, but still something of concern.

So my pick out of the 3, is the KWA G18c. Again, I hope to have one of these in a few days to put up for review. That may not come for quite some time, but I should at least be able to tell you my personal experience in a few days. Merry christmas.

Gas guns ARE upgradable, they just cant be overhauled like an AEG can to see a huge change in performance. To make a gas gun shoot harder, you have to take baby steps. That is, little tweaks that might only boost the fps and range by a little. I put a high flow valve and a tighter barrel in my KWA G19 (which makes a better seal on the bb) and that only raised my fps by 20-25 tops. The only thing you'll change with a spring in the DEagle is the recoil, which works. I put a new spring and guide rod in my glock and it definately kicks harder. I also got a new slide with trades and fiberoptic sights, so altogether I spent 250 bucks on my glock. It might not shoot much more than 330, but thats perfect for me and I personalized the hell out of it. My point is, get a gun which is good enough stock, esp a gas gun, because with that style gun you cant do much to it performance-wise without paying 50+ extra, and even then the difference wont be substantial. I also have WE (a Dragon, but its the same gun besides the spilt slide). These guns are definately gas hogs, AND require a lot of maintence in the long run. I've had to tweak my Dragon a lot just to keep it running smoothly. In the end, I suggest the KWA glock. It's more simple, easy to maintain, doesnt eat gas as much, and comes out the box with respectable performance. Now if you're getting a KWA, any gun you choose will not dissapoint, but I'd get the G17 or G19. These will be better on gas, and the full auto feature will be fun for a week and then you'll get very tired of refilling mags that run out in less than 2 seconds. The accuracy will also suck outside of 10 yards on full auto. Get a G19 with an extra 50 round hi cap mag and you'll be happier.

You can, just be sure to know what you're doing ie take it all apart and tape the pieces you dont want to get paint into. If you get a glock its easy since taking out the mechanics inside the slide is as simple as taking out a screw, but with a WE 5.1 or the like its much harder.

Dont mention it. One more tip though, instead of painting the slide, why not get a fine grain sandpaper and sand it down instead. It might take a bit more time and effort but it will look better and you want have to worry about the paint scratching or rubbing off. Just dont go overboard with it and it will end up looking like this:
