| With all gas guns you're looking at three basic things to hike fps: tightbore (only adds a bit), a high flow valve to boost propellant output, and red gas. There are also teflon mods and other, more custom jobs but I dont know too much about those. Those first three should meet your needs though. | |

| theres two problems with finding one: its a tanaka, and the M40 (which you would think would be a more popular sniper since its still standard issue in the US) is quite a rarity in airsoft. Check out uncompany.com as they have a lot of rare parts other than that I cant think of anyone who carries them. However, I have heard that the tanaka gas rifles run off the same system so check out the tanaka M700 flow valve because it might be compatible. I think the M40 is closer to 330 but thats still a decent fps and going from tanaka's quality rep I would say youd still be getting an amazing rifle, in build as well as performance. Get the tightbore and use red gas and that would probably be enough to satisfy you with this gun. Personally I would go for the M700 because I like the brit's style and theres more parts out there for it but its also 100 bones more in most places. | |

| It is hard to find parts for a M40, but, if you have a AEX walk in store, they usually have tons of extra parts that they dont sell online. try checking a local airsoft store if they have them, a lot of online relaitors usually only have upgrades for other snipers with longer barrels, such as the l96, and vsr10 | |

| To think that all the parts for the M700, M24 should fit each other. It's just the same gun in a different stock, I think. I found the things I need on WGC< I love that place. | |

| I still really like the M0, but because of the hard to find upgrades I didnt get one, it is a great gun, expecially for someone emo, accurate, and accurate enough that some new airsofter can hit you easy (and you enjoy it if you are emo) and you will have fun. (I hope you are not emo, I have a emo friend, she is a girl, and she dresses all black, only wears black cloths, and puts on black mascara) | |

| sorry no offence, I think the only upgrades you really need for a tanaka m40 is a spring, and a tightbore barrell, The internals in a tanaka are already very good | |

| A king arms M40 spring, it is a more durable longer lasting spring, find it a wgcshop.com under parts, and under KING ARMS OTHER | |

| Good find. I'd recommend that too. That might negate a high-flow valve, but the two together would definately hike power. Also, in case you do decide to get a high-flow, you might need to get a tool or make one of your own b/c screwing them out can not be accomplished with a flathead 90% of the time. Unless you get a floating valve, and in that case I'm not knowledgable about them. | |

| Meh I dont think it is worth the money. I'd stick to the smaller mods already mentioned and you'll be good. There is such a thing as going overboard with a gun as when you push the limit in one direction (in this case power) then other things will start to suffer ie your accuracy and durability of the gun (which are both oh-so important for a sniper). I would save this as like a last resort because a Tanaka with the previously mentioned upgrades will still be beastly. If you dont take my advice and get a power bolt then make damn sure you have that 6.01 tightbore and the best quality hop up. I would save the cash and get a gas sidearm or an smg aeg for closer engagements. | |

| ok, also for the usp, make it sexier and put a laser on it (my friend tried to put a scope on it, it doesnt work so well lol)
BOT
I agree, I wouldnt mess with the internals to much in a tanaka, just a spring and a tightbore will be the best thing for your gun, you dont even need state of the art hop up if you have the spring (I posted earlier) and tightbore, I hope this helps! | |

| Tanaka m40, will probably eb the most reliable sniper you can think of, it is durable, yet accurate, you might not even need a tightbore, since the gun itself is already very accurate, fired it before to, it is like the Golden Gun/ perfect gun of bolt action snipers | |
