I was thinking that for Christmas I could get a new motor for my G&G RK-47. I was looking at this one. Just not sure yet if it is long type or short type.

You don't need a new motor, the G&G 25K motor will be fine, unless you are going M130 or higher. With a 9.6v you should get 1100RPM stock.

I will have to see if I am able to fit just one more cell in my stock. But won't 9.6 volt batteries ruin the gun faster?

I do not see any reason, unless you are turning it into the G&G from heck, to upgrade it. G&Gs get great ROF stock, and even with a 8.4 battery, you should have enough ROF to intimidate lesser airsoft guns/players. lol

9.6v batteries only damage cheaper internals, with G&Gs you should have no problems what so ever.
