| I am trying to avoid that because it will take several weeks and i was hoping to use it this weekend, my friends dad might be able to solder it, would that be safe? | |

| If he knows how, and has done it before. You dont want to take your chances if its his first time | |

| It isn't his first time doing this. he looked at it and he said that I would be better off sending it back and getting a new one because if he soldered it the wire could come off again if i wasn't careful, so i decided to just send it back. | |

| I'm not sure if It applies to you, but I had a similar problem when I recieved my battery, only ALL of the wires eventually needed to be resoldered. The tabs themselves had broken off the cells, and I was left with a wire and the tab soldered to it. Putting those back onto the battery cell itself was a major pain, and I really could never get it to stick the way it should have, since overheating/soldering to batteries is generally not so much a good idea and I didn't want any damage happening there. My experience from that event then gave me the idea that: If your battery is not carefully wrapped and secure when you buy it, be sure to do it yourself before you begin to use it.
However, I'm not entirely sure it would be so difficult for all brands of batteries, I'm just saying mine was a pain in the neck.
And yes, I agree that it was a better idea to return it than to try fixing it by ones self. | |

| Actually the one of the tabs is what was broken off, but they just sent it to me in one of the business envelopes lined in bubble wrap, so i think it broke because it was not packed tightly and it was thrashed around during shipping. | |
