M89P UMP or Galaxy Mp5k

I need a good back up for sniping. Its between these two because I want more fps, range, and magazine capacity than an AEP or a gas pistol ,but still having the compactness. I have heard a lot of good things about the Galaxy Mp5k ,but I wanted to know your opinions.

The DE UMP? I wouldn't get that. It has a slow ROF and it doesn't perform that well. (it's good, but my E1 G36C is much better) Go for the MP5K, it's smaller.

Much better build quality, performance, mag availability, and there are a ton of cheap upgrades.

Only things to look out for are:
1. Get a new battery. I recommend an intellect 8.4v stick pack.
2. Get the PDW. It's only $5 more than the K, but includes a threaded muzzle if you want to install a can, and the stock. You can take the stock off easily if you want the smaller K model.
3. Mag catch will be VERY stiff at first, but it will break in with time.

Thanks guys I think I'm going to go with the Galaxy Mp5 PDW because of its small size, foldable stock, 200 round magazine, full/semi auto feature, and the built in vertical hand grip that you can't find in a pistol (maybe the full auto you can). Also, it is only $99 on Airsoftgi.

The minimum order for free shipping is $150, but if you pick up some spare mags or better battery you'll hit it, no problem.

For now I'm going to use my E1 M4, then by July (birthday) I'll get the UTG L96 and use my CO2 UZI until Christmas when I'll get the Galaxy Mp5 PDW. I'll buy it all from Airsplat so long as my local store doesn't have any of it. That should be the fastest and cheapest way to do it don't you think?

Just to plan ahead so I know what I'm getting and how much to save up for. I aways do prepare for things before I do them so I know exactly what I'm doing and so there are no surprises and so everything goes off without a hitch. I'm kind of a perfectionist when I'm going to spend large amounts of money. But even so it is a little early.

Thanks for the link ,but the stock battery is 8.4 volt 1100mah and that one is 1400mah how much of a difference will it make. Because when I went from a 1.2 volt 1100mah stock battery for my m4 to an 8.4 volt 1400mah it made little difference. And how bad is the stock battery anyway because I'm only using this as a side arm so I wont be using it too much.

^It's not about changing the mAh. The stock battery blows... hard...

The discharge amperage on the stock one is painfully low, and makes the ROF awful, only 7-8 RPS. With the intellect in mine, it went up to 12-13, with no other mods. Plus, battery life shot up pretty well, giving me about 2000 rounds per charge, compared to 1200-1300 with the stocker.

The first one is 9.6v, and for it to fit, you would need to cut away part of the cocking handle.

The second one is mediocre. It will fit just fine, but the discharge rate is just meh. Nothing to write home about.

Honestly, I would stick with an 8.4v Intellect or Elite stick pack, any mAh rating.

But the second one has a better discharge rate than the stock one right?

I'm not a big fan of PHX batteries, which is the second one you linked. Yes, it'll be better than the stock one, but it's the same price as the intellect, which is a much better battery.

It's your call in the end, but for me, I would stick with intellect or elite.

Just know that the mp5 is loud as all hell. I like mine, but when I use it as a back up for my L96 my firends say they can pick up my position from like over 500 feet away pretty easy from the sound alone. I've read this about other PDW's too so expect it to be poppy.

That may be but I'm going to use it when they are 100ft or less or if they have already spotted me so the sound wont be too big of a problem.

Yep, that battery will work just fine. That's what I tossed in mine with great results.
