| Like I said before V3 gearboxes are great I would reccomend them although I have not delt with V1's V5's V6's or V8's. If you get a TM you really don't have to worry about the reliablilty. They can last forever as long as you put metal bushings in them. I hope to have a TM MP5k next week | |

| 1. This is pretty helpful: http://www.mechbox.com/site/the-mechbox/mechbox-versions.html2. I wouldn't worry about the GB so much. If you leave it stock (especially TM), it should last a long time and treat you well. 3. I have been told by MANY that the V6 GB is the most user friendly. And if you just look at the amount of people who use p90's that should tell you something. If I had the money, I'd purcahse one. The HS rof setups I have seen on the P90 are incredible. That said, get the type of gun you like, dont worry so much about GB version: "Not that it really matters Even though certain mechboxes are better than others, it shouldn't be the ONLY consideration when deciding on an airsoft gun. As much as the version 3 mechbox is a tough and reliable mechbox - if you hate using the AK47, AUG or G36C, don't buy one. The important thing is to KNOW what you are getting into when you choose the M16 with a version 2 mechbox. -6mm" So, say you want a gun with a V2 GB, GET IT! Don't let the version GB sway your decision, just make sure you don't upgrade it +450 fps | |

| You will probably have to put in metal bushings, metal spring guide and possibly a stronger tappet plate. Airsoftguy's P90 had problems with the spring guide and tappet plate. (he had an M110) Simple, cheap upgrades to keep your gun running. | |

| I wouldn't get that battery you don't really want a stock TM to shoot with a 9.6v battery. They are geared to use 7.2v batteries but 8.4's will work fine. But also as Booligan stated before as long as you don't hold the trigger all the time and dry fire you should be good with a 9.6v. As for the charger I would reccomend this one http://www.trinityairsoft.com/p-201-universal-smart-charger-ta.aspx its very user friendly. | |

| IMO, as long as you are smart with your gun (i.e. not holding down auto for prolonged periods of time), you can use any battery. I'm not saying your gun won't wear down faster if you use more volts, but it won't kill your gun. Heck, Booligan ran his galaxy mp5k on a li-po for a bit. Those are galaxy stock internals, they haven't even been touched. And the gun was fine. I'm not a battery expert but I do know intellect makes some of the best batteries. I don't know if they have those P90 types though. | |

| I am thinking I will just go down to my walk in store and ask there opinions and see what they have, I am getting the gun there two, as soon as I get my check that is. Wow I cant wait! So with the gun, battery, and charger, it should all cost about $340. Does that sound right? I am in California so tax is about 8%, I just round up and call it 10%. | |

| First off its 8.255 For the upgrades and chargers, go to airsoft extreme. I do not doubt that they will tell you whats good, and what they reccomend. I think there staff is very Honest. If you wont trust them, just get stealth's suggestions. I like the M120 though:) Anyways, People to trust at AEX santa clara The guy who is almost there every day, the one with blackish brown hair, and usually wears a black shirt. Um..... The white guy with a... Kind of Goatee, and the Owner, the Chinese one. | |

| Sorry for not getting to this thread sooner, and probably to late to be of much help. The P90 as was already stated does use the V6 gearbox. Both the tappet plate and spring guide on mine broke, but you can keep that from happening with a couple upgrade parts. The accuracy is very nice, the fps is good, and range is very good. You will not be sorry you got it, its a great gun. For more info read my review on the Airsoft Reports main site. | |

| ^But those broke with the upgraded spring right? Had they not put in the new spring, I'm sure those parts would not have broken. But yea, even if you want to upgrade the spring, if you just upgrade the other parts like the spring guide you should be fine. | |

| Ah OK. I do want to up grade it but its going to take a while. If at all that is. There are only two types of mags right? The low or standard cap (68 rounds) and the high caps (about 250 rounds without jamming). Is there some happy medium? | |

| Nope not to my knowledge.
I'd buy low caps because you have to take the high cap mags OUT to wind them......................
Maybe just get a high cap and a couple of low caps.
Mechbox.com recommends that you get metal bushings and shims when you upgrade the spring. (so if I were you, I'd buy spring guide, bushings, and shims)

If you don't upgrade it, you will probably be OK. No, there are only two kinds of mags. I would buy about three standard caps. The are very good and you can get them on eBay for around $20.

| I think I will get one High cap if I have the cash leftover at my local store, but most my mags will be standard cap. | |

| I would upgrade, bushings, spring guide, maybe tappet plate. Really. New spring =s fun. Ask the guys at Airsoft Extreme. The Standard cap for a P90 I believe is 90 rounds and the High cap is a lot. But I do not reccomend them, since you have to take it out. And THEN you have to have a sling, or put the gun down while winding...... | |
