| I have an E1 M733 and the semi is not working properly, when ever i pull the trigger it may shoot 1 shot, it may shoot several rounds or it may shoot fully automatic. I have been using a 9.6 volt intellect battery in it, so i though that may have been the problem, but it does the same thing with my stock 8.4 volt battery, could somebody help me? | |

| Worn/broken cutoff lever or sticky selector plate.
Open the gearbox up and look for anything out of the ordinary.

| I had the same problem with my Echo 1 M4. I just use automatic and tapped the trigger for one shot if I needed it to.
However, when I put a 9.6volt mini battery in the gun it shot fine on both semi and auto.

| when u say open the gear box up do you mean to take the gearbox out of the gun and take it apart, or just remove it from the gun? | |

| You will probabaly only have to take it out of the gun. Most likely it is due to a flaw in the selector plate, which is on the outside of the gearbox. | |

| If it's not an obvious problem with the selector plate, you'll need to open the gearbox and check for proper cut-off lever function, make sure it's not worn down, broken, sticking, etc... | |

| Depends on how obvious the problem is. If the selector plate is snapped in half, chances are you'll need a new one If it's just off its track and moving around too much, you should be able to pop it back in. As for the cutoff lever, if it's broken, you need a new one. If it's worn down, you need a new one. If it's simply caught up on something, you should be able to sand down any rough castings or whatever is making it stick. | |

| I had a similar prob with my JG M4, which is basically the exact same gun.
I had not used the JG M4A1 for a lonnng time. It was working fine when I put it in storage.
The other day I loaded it up and with a fully charged battery - tried both 8.4 and 9.6 - and full-auto was fine, but when I went to shoot semi-auto, I was getting a lot of doubles/triples/full-auto.
The fix? It seems that the more I shot it in semi - with *quick*, full-length trigger pulls (as opposed to slow squeeze) the better it behaved. I'm convinced the long lay-off of non-use caused some corrosion to grow on "the contacts" in the mechbox until lots of usage cleaned it off.
The clone CHICOM guns have crap electronics, as a similar long lay-off of non-use of my G&G or TM produced NO such issues.
