Echo 1 M90 spring Empty
PostSubject: Echo 1 M90 spring   Echo 1 M90 spring EmptyFri Aug 15, 2008 10:03 pm

What fps will I get if I put this http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2461 in my stock Echo 1 M4 (2007)? I plan on putting in a 6.03mm barrel and maybe a 9.6 volt battery so that might change it.

Thanks for the help.

Around 310-320 fps. The spring says 290-300, so with a tightbore you would get about 310. (330 max) Remember, batteries do NOT effect fps, just rof.

hope this helps

I suggest you get a prommy if you want a 6.03. Madbulls are pretty good also. (prommys are way better though)

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_55&products_id=1233 This one will fit right?

I'm playing at a new field which doesn't have that much cover so I'm retrofitting my M4 so it will be faster and more maneuverable.

I'm putting in the M90 spring to increase the rof, putting in the TB for accuracy and a slight fps increase, a vertical fore grip, a 9.6v 1600mah battery, and I already have a red dot on it ,so I think that should be a good set up for the field.

1.)M90 spring: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2461
2.)vertical fore grip: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3004
3.)9.6volt 1600mah battery: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3920
4.)6.03 Madbull TB: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1233
5.) I can get the hand guard rail from a friend
6.) And I can get the barrel and spring installed at my local shop

Also, what rof and range will I get with this set up and will I need anything else to cope with the high rof (internally)?

I suggest you add atleast a metal spring guide. (E1s only have metal bushings)

Also, get a new hop up bucking. These work great with my E1 G36C.

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_170&products_id=1956

I don't know why the reviews are so bad for it, my silicone bucking works great. I used to have to turn the hop up almost all the way when using .25s, now I barely have it above no hop up.

The rubber bucking didn't fit, but I could probably get it in there with some lube. The silicone one slid in easy and works great. Plus it comes with two fishbone spacers which is nice because spacers are really easy to lose.

I'm estimating you will get about 180 feet of range. Around 150 effective max. (A very rough estimate)

Why are you putting in a weaker spring? You would still have really nice rof with a 9.6 with the stock spring. If you did that, then you wouldn't have to send it to the shop.

Also, you can easily install the barrel and bucking for yourself. (if the shop will do it for no extra charge, them let them do it)

But it is really really easy to install a new barrel and hop up.

http://www.airsoftretreat.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=118&cat=49

these will show you how to do all that. (the youtube one is really the only one you need to follow, the other one is for taking apart the WHOLE hop up)

hope this helps

I don't want to over work the gears, plus the M100 I already have in there should give a decent rof with the battery listed in my previous post.

I don't get how to get the hop up and barrel out of the gun, after that I can figure it out. I'm not sure if my hop up is the same as the one in the video though so I will call my local shop and see how much it will cost.

Also, how much extra range/ accuracy did you get from the new bucking?

Will this work? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_170&products_id=421
Also what does the ring do?

And I looked in my M4 and the spring guide is metal already.

So, does anybody know how to remove the hop up and barrel out of the gun?

And does anybody know what the ring does with the bucking?

EDIT: I figured out that I just need to pull the barrel and hop up out. But I still don't know what the ring does.
