So heres the story, I used to be active on this forum, was a mod. blah blah blah blah blah. point is I havent even been on here in years. Had life happen, wasnt able to airsoft any longer. Well thats a bummer and all but recently, my younger brother asked me what was a good gun to ask for christmas, price im searching around is just about a hundred bucks. I noticed he wanted an ak47, and saw the CYMA is shortly above that. Now heres my dilemma, I remember when I used to airsoft, CYMA was thought of as a joke, but was starting to make some improvement. I was wondering if they went up in quality? or what. I have a link here (http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1484). I figured this forum is where I learned my outdated knowledge, so wondered if anybody could help me now haha. Thanks. Cool

CYMA AK47
PROS:
Very Light--This gun weighs like a pound.
Very Cheap--Under 50 with shipping.
Modest Range--Accurate from 8-12 yards
Full Scale--This gun is big, length wise.
Good Clip--300 rounds is ok.
Decent ROF--Full charge shoots around 600 RPM
Long Living--Good battery life.
CONS:
Poor Materials--Its made with synthetic wood and cheap, cheap plastic.
Very Weak-- Only about 180 FPS with a .2.
All in all: ok starter gun

hi...

One major performance related issue many may have with this rifle is the fact that it utilizes a mini type battery and not the traditional large battery found in most full stock weaponry (including TM AK-47).
This isnt much of an issue for me however as I don't need massive battery capacity for my style of play. After charging the battery and loading the Hi-Cap with around 200 Marushin MaxiBBs I stepped outside to take some shots. At first the gun was pretty dissappointing for the adjustable hopup didnt seem to work.
But after around 150 rounds something clicked and performance became exponentially better with each shot.
