| I'm getting a G36C and i was wondering if anyone knew if the STAR midcaps (140 rd) work well with it... I'm assuming they do, but I was wondering if there were any jamming problems, common misfeeds, difficult insertion, etc.
And In case you're wondering, I'm not a big fan of having to wind my mag every 30 rds and getting the sound of bb's moving around in my mag, so that's why I'm shying away from highcaps.

| uhm a few things wrong with this topic. First and most importantly we dont even know what brand this G36C is! So we cannot help you untill we know. Second Hi-Caps are not wound every 30 rounds. My M16 only has to be wound once per mag... So please provide suffiecent information for us to help you | |

| Well it is in the Echo 1 section, but I agree, it is a little bit of a jump to get there. And I already have the Echo 1 G36, just buy a high-cap. It is not wound per 30 rounds, more like 150. So that is a whole mid cap | |

| Obviously he doesn't like high caps, so I would try to convince him to get one.
Get the TM 50 rd. standard caps, if you want a low cap, the STAR G36 mags seem to only work in the CA36 and the STAR g36, so I wouldn't count on them working.

| Okay...
As was earlier mentioned, the G36C IS Echo 1, as this is the Echo 1 thread...
And maybe I'm thinking of something different than the hi-caps you're mentioning... I'm talking the one that comes stock with the G36C (470 rds). All that I had heard about it was that you had to wind it about every 30 shots or so... But maybe I heard wrong.

| Winding high caps is all relative, how many times you wind it is going to determine how many times you are going to have to wind it again. | |

| I actually have the mag, its not bad. When ever I am taking cover or moving around I wind it, it is alomst like a second nature now. So when you are just sitting there or something, wind it as much as possible | |

| Thats what I do with my MP-5, and it works great. But I still think I'm going to get mid caps. | |

| Okay...
But lets just say, for the sake of argument, that I really want to use midcaps... Maybe I just totally hate winding, and I like carrying a ton of mags on me, and I don't really like the BB "sloshing" noise... Will the STAR midcaps work?
That's the real question here, not so much that I don't like highcaps, I just want to know if the midcaps work. I've heard they do, and they fit quite snugly, but that source wasn't entirely reliable (a review for the mags from shortyusa).

| I think they should, but you might want to just get a G&P or something, the reviews on airsoftgi were pretty nasty. | |

| Wow...
Mixed reactions all over the board... On multiple websites...
Although a lot of the issues seem to be with non-Echo 1 guns, or guns that have had some mods done. Ahh well... I hate it when there isn't a universal answer...
Anyone here who has actually used them?

| I had heard that they fit, BUT you need to sand a bit off of the mag catch on the magazine to get them to lock in and feed well. All in all, it seems like an easy fix. | |

| Well... No worries on if they work or not. Got my echo 1 G36 this weekend and the STAR mags work like a charm. No winding, easy stacking and no misfeeds. I have no complaints. | |
