| As most of you probably know, I have a very low opinion of the UTG shotgun. (DEATH TO UTG SHOTGUN!!!!!!!) Some of my friends have been telling me how great their shotguns are, and I said something like "I had one. The performance was bad, it only lasted 1,500 round, and it's junk". So then they said something like, "well, you accidently got the UTG Shotgun, instead of the double eagle. Double Eagles are really great!" So what I am wondering, if double eagles are better that UTG or if there is any difference. Ether way, no shotgun is ever going to be as good as an AEG, but I need to be able to stomp on shotguns for good!!!!!!!!!! Thank you | |

| Thats what I thought, but then I sent it back and they sent me a new one, and it also broke in about 1,500 rounds. | |

| I did, but not very much at all. When it broke, I opened it up to see if I could fix it, but there was nothing I could do. (The "mech box" was stuck, and then exploded) The piston looks fine though, so I don't know what was wrong. | |

| Ok. Almost everyone has gone to AEGs and gas guns now though. | |

| My brother had a crossman shotgun, got it from gander mountain, similar to dicks. They are all probably the exact same gun re-branded a few times over, but I have to say his shotgun was a beast against all the LPEG's our group used to have, and it lasted... I forget, but longer than a year. It was $60 and came with a cheap pistol, wasn't too bad but it broke after a while. The gun itself was $30 I believe, and since then the price has dropped. It was overall a great package, and a solid gun.
UTG..... Never had anything in my possession made by UTG that I was blown away by. I don't like their quality, reliability, or performance whatsoever, so you're dead on with "death to UTG SHOTGUN!!!1" Another friend of mine had a UTG shotgun, with the retractable stock, which never once made it through a whole game without a jam, or some other problem.

| The TSD shell using shotgun is not a bad gun, it has about the same performance as UTG shotgun. The JTA3 from what I hear is a good reliable shotgun. CYMA has made a new shotgun similar to a full stock 870 that I have also heard great things about.
I think that shotguns have a respectable presence on the battlefield. A good Maruzen or Marui shotgun have great performance and I have seen a Maruzen 870 Full stock upgraded to 500+ fps and an extended tightbore deemed the "Harbinger" it was similar to performance as an upgraded sniper rifle. Shotguns are good weapons. You might thing about a Maruzen 870, and Poweredge they start under 100 dollars.

I asked the guy at my walk in store if my shotgun could be fixed when it broke, (I didn't know anything then) and he said it couldn't, and he didn't sell them there because they are so bad they can almost be considered toys. The only reason I ever got a kill with it, is because I am such a good shot. DEATH TO UTG SHOTGUN!!!!!!!

| i had a clear shotgun i cant remember the brand but it lasted me for 2-3 years of 3 tme a month use it was my first gun so it had pretty bad evrything and when i took out the mag. to reload there were always 5-10 bbs that just fell out not taken into the barrel but it was alright other than that so i think shotguns should be continiued but in more quality and higher cap mags | |

| I had the clear Crosman shotgun and it lasted for 2 and a half years and it shot at about 310 fps. As for the UTG shotgun i hear its bad ,but i don't have any hands on experience. The only other UTG airsoft gun i have seen is my friends sniper rifle (324) and that was accurate and powerful. | |

| ^The Crosman shotgun IS the UTG shotgun. They are both rebrands of the DE shotgun, and are exactly the same. | |

| ^But DE makes them clear for crosman. Just like JG makes clear Sig 552s for Cybergun.
Shoot, if I order 1000 of the same gun, I can have them made with pink plastic and unicorn trademarks on them. Factories make them to different color specs for different buyers.

| ^Yep, same JG performance, but in a clear body so they can sell them at walmart and sporting goods stores that only sell clear guns. Good move on Cybergun's part, as they are actually selling some high quality guns, although as a business, they are still pretty shady and unethical. | |
