| Maruzen gas shotguns.
Or (if you can afford them) Tanaka shotguns.

| over maruzen... ok I was thinking, well I want a shotgun that shoots more than one bb, not a shotgun, that shoots 1 bb at a time, like a shell operated shotgun (fill a shell with bbs, and when fired, that many bbs come out) I am not looking at accuracy, but close quarters | |

| If you're looking for a CQB gas shell shotgun then I'd look into the Hwasan sawed off. Its got an effective range comparable to a grenade launcher and you can load each shell with up to 7 bb's each. Its a double barrel break with independant triggers for each barrel so if you pull them both with a max shell load you got 14 bb's at 300 fps for a nice spread. Its full metal/real wood so its going to be durable and you can buy extra shells. In effect its bascially a mini double barrel grenade launcher which I think would serve your purposes nicely. Its also simply a nice looking boomstick. | |

| That is a good idea, but I think I should stick with a single barrel, because that would be my secondary besides my PSG1 (in cqb I snipe from the top of the building) so I want to keep it lighter, that would be a good idea, but i think double barrel is a little heavy, and a single barrel has a little more range, so what would be an effective single barrelled shotgun | |

| Its a trade off with the weight. You wont find a decent single barrel gas shotgun that is light or compact. I really think that for a secondary the Hwasan is your best gun, and your only gas-shell option for its small size, but understand if you go single barrel gas that it wont be small and its still going to be heavy, making carrying it with the PSG no less a chore. Most ABS gas shotty's are around 6-8 pounds or more while the Hwasan is less than 4. If you're looking for an alternative though, 8mm is where you need to go. The Marushin M500 is a reliable powerhouse, and its ABS so its not much over 6 pounds. No shells, but a three shot buck fed from an internal resevoir of bb's. Tanaka's are beasts, but good luck finding them in stock or much under 400 bones. Maruzen's are known for thier amazing build quality and detail, but greatly lack in power (220-280 stock) so you'd have to upgrade it yourself. Good Maruzen's are hard to find in stock as well. Thats pretty much all the advice I have, other than to just go do some online research yourself and pick one or two guns for us to consider rather than have us give you the ins and outs of a type of gun I dont think anyone on this forum has real first-person experience with. | |

| well I think the marishin is the best idea since it is single barrelled and I don't have to keep reloading shells if anyone has better ideas please post | |

| Well I used to use a psg1 and a mp5 by TM, but the way we play (at place, friends, and tournaments) we play three shot kill, with a shotgun, I can do that (if you are hit you are invunerable but cant attack, uncless hit by burst or shotgun) also, it has a decent spread, and For a double barrell I dont want to keep buying shells after thinking about it, because I think clips are easier. The only reason I brought up shells so I dont get a single firing shotgun, i might as well stick to my MP5, he shotgun is also for when they crowd together, sometimes with a aeg, you cant have a full clip whenever you enter the room, samething with shottys, but I think it might be easier, because i probably will have at least 6 rounds, which would do the job for a 6 shot shotty
also, if I need to I might use all three, because, a shotgun is inpractical for medium range, same thing with a pistol, it takes to long to get out a psg1 and take off the lense caps, and focus and hold my breath, instead I can switch to my MP5.
If I was a beginner in cqb I would not get a shotgun, but if you have decent instant aim which I have, I think the shotgun is best for me right know, thanks though
