| Hi guys, well i finally decided i plan on modding my MP5. So i dont really know much about modding AEGs. So i need some help. So im wondering if you guys can help me find some parts for the MP5. Like springs, tight barrels, batteries, etc etc (the basics of modding). If you have any ideas, plz provide a link. And if some of you know how to replace the originial parts. Please send a video or a pictured guide. Thank you!!! | |

| Okay, find a local place to do work on your gun. (some paintball places even have airsmiths)
tell us more on what you want from you gun.
if you want accuracy and range, get a tightbore and nothing else.
High rof, get a 9.6v | |

I assume Echo 1, since this is in that section. Either that or JG. He's right though, tell us what brand and what model

| hmm. Well i have an Echo 1 MP5A4 (full stock) with a large 8.4v battery. So for external mod im not sure yet. Still keeping in mind. But for Accuracy and range yes, any recommendations for a tightbore??? Plus how much MaH for the 9.6v. Oh and i might want to kick the FPS up a notch.
P.S. The gun and battery..is all Stock. So this is a stock gun.

| Not sure if you'd be able to dremel out some of the stock to get a bigger battery to fit in there, I have no clue as I've never used an A4 model. You could always get a custom battery, but those could be more expensive to buy.
That would increase Rate of Fire, and allow you to shoot more ammo before the battery dies.
Next up is a tightbore. Not sure what's the best idea for the MP5, but I've been told the best is prometheus. I've heard that madbull is also a good brand, really you decide for yourself.
You'll see an increase in accuracy and some increase in FPS with a tightbore barrel.
Last, If anything doesn't give your gun enough awesomeness, find a new hopup unit. It can make all the difference in how a gun performs.
Keep in mind with a new battery, (most probably a new charger too), a new Barrel, and if you really think it'd help, a new spring/parts, the gun itself would probably become as expensive as the some of the "higher-end" AEG's, and all of the parts that are installed are relying on your experience with the upgrades. And if you had them installed at say an airsoft retailer, expect that price to increase even more.
I'm just saying, that people should think this through before they buy an AEG. Is it worth it to buy one and upgrade it until we deem it satasfactory, or just save up the cash you would have used on upgrades to get an AEG that has all that jazz out of the box?

| Yes, by the time you upgrade it, you could have alteast bought this. http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-GG-GR16-PL.htmIt has a tightbore barrel stock, rof of about 1000 rpm with a 9.6v This gun needs no upgrades. You WILL not have to replace any pistons or anything if you upgrade the spring. That's the gun I'm getting next year If you want an MP5, this has the same parts as the M4. http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-GG-MP5-A4-P.htmKeep in mind, you will need a battery and charger, (I suggest a smart charger) and you will need to use high quality bbs. (I suggest Airsoft Elite) I'd just buy one of those. It can handle a new spring and such stock, while the E1 MP5's life will greatly decrease with an M120.

| hmm haha this is REALLY helpful. Thanks!!! Becuz i thought of customizing my MP5A4 instead of just buying a new gun which cost about 140, and then spend more money on it.
So do you guys have any websites that have good deals on any of these upgrades???

Keep in mind, a G&G MP5 plastic body version is 170 and the plastic is WAY more durable than the plastic e1 uses. The metal body versions cost about 250. I think you are MUCH better off buying the G&G. The internals can handle upgrades stock, while E1 guns life spans will dramatically decline. The G&G's also come with standard tight bore barrels. I'd just buy the plastic version of the G&G MP5. It will cost about the same, and the G&G will most likely still perform better than the E1 even after upgrades.

| AEX is a great dealer, and the CA highcaps are pretty good, for the tightbore, stick with a systema tightbore | |

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the Well mag holds less than that. They are a cheap brand and it would be safer to go with CA.
