| The new JG boxes are great. Reinforced shell, steel gears, polycarb piston, ported piston head with a great air seal, and super high torque motors. I see no reason as to why anything will crap out prematurely unless you are using it in subfreezing temps. Plastic bushings are an odd choice, but there are a ton of these "2008" edition JG's running around and I haven't heard of them breaking down prematurely. | |

| So even with a spring as strong as an M130 it will last a while? Wow, that's pretty amazing. What about the CYMA?
Do you have a rough estimation on how long the JG's will last while running an M130? Also, what guns feature the new gearboxes?
Thanks booligan | |

| ^Pretty much any JG labeled "2008" edition should have it. They are putting it in more or less all of their new guns. No clue on estimated life. If you take good care of it, it could last 100,000 rounds, who know.
CYMA is going wacky and putting something like an M140 springs in their new AK's, lol... These things are chronoing at 450-480FPS all day... No clue on their durability yet, but they feel confident enough to crank them that high, I'm assuming they took some reinforcing measures.

| So does that means that the 2008 Echo 1 gear boxes have all that stuff too?

| I haven't seen the 2008s being stocked at ASGI or airsplat. Do you know of any USA dealers that have them in stock? Man they are really giving high end brands a run for their money | |

| Yikes, 400+ FPS... That gun is a bit too hot to be used in a lot of fields. I'm hoping they don't keep this trend going, as I'm sure a lot of players would need to downgrade to be able to even use this gun at their fields. | |

| IMO degrading is better than upgrading because all you have to do is swap springs. (you don't have to worry about buying stronger parts)
but yeah............450 fps is REALLY high. I think all an AEG needs is like 400

Probably not. They still like having their stuff built to relatively low specs, except their AKs. I got their CPM (CM035) and it's shooting right at 400. I know Pointact has the '08 JG models. THe biggest improvement with the '08 JGs is the one piece outer barrel on their ARs. Goodbye barrel wobble! ASGI also stocks them, but they are listed as "enhanced" models.

| Its possible that they are putting in the other upgrades but leaving in the weaker spring. | |

| So for the 2008 models overall JG will have an edge over Echo 1? Also will the JG ARs have the one piece outer barrel too? | |

| ^I meant that the '08 JG's had the one piece outer barrel. I'm pretty sure the Echo 1's will have it as well. | |
