| Me and one of my friends have decided its time to get better accuracy and range out of our guns. My friend has an Echo 1 MP5A4 (V1 I think) and I have a TM P90. We know we want to get a precision barrel. My friend is also thinking of upgrading the hop up. If he does decide to upgrade the hop up, would he need to replace the whole hop up, or just the bucking? | |

| I doubt the V1s are compatible with TM parts. (or all of them atleast) If his E1 is the same as the new ones (other than gearbox parts), you should only need to buy a bucking.
You might need to buy a whole hop up unit, I'm not sure though.
I recommend you get a Prometheus or DBC barrel and a systema bucking. (madbulls perform great, but have durability issues and I wouldn't trust JBU)

| ALL Echo1s are TM clones, therefore they are compatible with TM parts if I am not mistaken. Thanks for the advice! My friend had been considering a Systema hop up bucking. | |

| He should be able to replace only the bucking, i have a madbull hop up bucking in my gun and i think it works great, you can get two of them with fishbone spacers for $11. i also like the fishbone type spacer a lot more than the regular ones, i have tried them both and in my experience the fishbone type gave me more consistancy for each shot. but again, that is just in my experience and it could just be a fluke. http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_71_368&products_id=28917I also have a madbull 6.03 tightbore in my gun and it works great and it only cost me $30, if they have the length you are looking for i would highly recommend them: http://www.airsoftpost.com/index.php?cPath=24_72_375 | |

| ^An H-hop nub? That's pretty much the same concept as the fish bone. Element makes one now, it's dirt cheap. Check ehobbyasia.com | |

| from what I've read, madbull hop ups aren't so hot........
I have them, but I need to put my G36 back together before I can try them for myself. (i've heard the buckings wear out really fast)
I would go for the systema bucking
Also, I think it's worth spending the extra cash for a Prometheus or a DBC because they will last longer. Wouldn't you rather spend the money on a better quality barrel rather than save some money and later on have to buy a new barrel? (it's cheaper in the long run)

| Hop-ups, but incidentally, the barrels have also improved over time. | |

| Depends on the bucking. The shark works well with the madbull bucking (as they were designed to work together) and the true H-hop works better with bucking like Promy's.
Either one will be a good choice, provided you're not going for absolute sniper rifle-like accuracy.
