| Now, this thread is not regarding if i could fit a 9.6V in my AUG. I currently own a pre-upgraded AUG and it is fine with a 9.6V. Recently i have purchased another TM AUG with all the regular stock parts. My question is will it be able to handle the 9.6V without stripping the gears or doing other damage to the guns internals? i will be using either one of these batteries if it helps any store.matrixbb.com/servlet/-strse-24430/1400-MaH-9.6V-NiCd/Detail http://www.onlybatterypacks.com/showitem.asp?ItemID=11219 | |

| I believe the AUG was designed for a 7.4 battery. So, no, I would not go more than an 8.4. (Which will work just fine) | |

| all AUGs come with an 8.4v, just so you know. And Alec, a 9.6v will not do anything bad to your gun, and it will handle it flawlessly. It will shorten the lifespan of your gun so little, it's not even worth mentioning. And I know that this is correct, because I had a conversation with OmD on this, and I did a lot of research about it. Get the 9.6v | |

| It will shorten the lifespan. I had a ca mp5, died in 3 games with a 9.6. I'll come back with an answer when my friend gets on aim. | |

| I'm surprised that some TM owners say that a TM AUG can't handle a 9.6v. If this is true, then its surprising why someone would want to even buy a TM today beyond the fact the TM is the only manufacturer of the gun they want. | |

| It's just not recommended to use a 9.6 in any tm unless it's upgraded. Besides, tm guns have a nice rof with an 8.4 anyways, and I can verify that. | |

| I would stich to the batttery it comes with, or reccomended, because even though the TM is very reliable, the 9.6 might just break the gun | |
