| I've been researching different AEG's to see which one I should buy as my first AEG, and I finally found it! The echo 1 g36c. The only problem is I can't find it in stock anywhere. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a website that has it in stock? If not then which website do you expect to get it first? | |

| The gun I dont believe is a E1, or a JG, the Stock FPS on it is 265 - 285, and the stock FPS on a E1 is 350 | |

Where the heck did you hear that? My friend bought a JG/E1/Goldenbow from them and it shoots like 380.

| fdsakiller, how is the service from that website? Also do they have any deal where you can get free shipping? I love how it has "our price $104.95" crossed off and it says "sale price $144.99. You save (22%)." LOL. | |

- The one sold at airsplat is not an E1, or a JG. Unless they have changed it, my friend Jerry, the one who currently has a Echo1 G36, previously got it, and it didnt shoot very well, it shot like a double eagle G36. So he went to AGI and baught one
I think it is in stock here
http://www.mrairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=566&osCsid=8fhuk65og7oe15c74n2nnks976 No, it is the JG. Perhaps the one he got was having compression problems, and that caused the poor FPS? I can guarantee that the one on Airsplat is the JG. 100% positive.

| Well, at the time he got it, it was the same label, the same picture, located at the same place, and price, but it said the fps was 285, and when he got it, it shot very poorly, So he bought a E1 from AG1 | |

| Honestly, I would get the metal bushings and spring guide. Plastic spring guides break easy with an m110 spring. (ask airsoft guy) | |

| how hard is it to install the bushings and the spring guide? Would the Deep Fire Metal Spring Guide Rod V.III and the Systema Oiless AEG 6mm Steel Bushings from airsplat.com work? Sorry I couldn't post a link. Airsplat won't let me. | |

| If you have never taken apart a gun before I wouldnt do it. Basicly you open up the gun, you take out the mechbox, and take off and replace the parts, for a beginner it is not easy. At least for me. | |

| I have an asian friend who has taken apart his paintball guns to mod them and he's put a new barrel in his utg sniper. So do you think he would be able to install them? | |

| This is not the barrel, it is the internals of an electric mechbox, I doubt it unless he has done it before, or someone taught him. | |

| The mechbox is a whole step above taking the rest of the gun apart, that is about the only thing i haven't and won't take apart, I have taken My gbb just aboult totally apart, but the gearbox is a little too risky for me. | |

| Unless your friend has experience working on airsoft internals which he probably doesn't, DO NOT have him try to do it for you. Your gun will probably never work again. | |

| Yea, either find a local store or send it in to a retailer that offers upgrades. | |

| The whole, upgrading mech box thing isin't generally a good idea, imho.
Being a natural "Tinkerer" who takes things apart to see how they work, and then cram them back together, this sort of thing came pretty easy for me, as watching some informative videos really helped. Because of those, I knew exactly what I was doing before the gearbox was even removed. Upgrading to a systema M120 in my CA M15A4 didn't show a major difference in distance shooting. However, it was really easy to do, got it on the first try thanks to (my opinion) CA's internals. Then came time to fix the WELL R6's dying gearbox... yuck. That was a major pain and didn't end up working at all, since I was too lazy to buy the replacement parts it required to work. (Bushings, shims, spring guide, plenty more etc.) So from this, I learned two things: 1) All gearboxes are not created equal. 2) Some upgrades may not even be worth the work.
I understand that hey, maybe this stock Echo1 isin't going to have the best internals, but they work, and work very well at that. And, a good gun such as that with lots of care and proper maintenance will go a long way. So I'm not saying you/your friend will not be able to install the parts, I'm just saying for an average person who hasn't done that sort of complicated work before would have a hard time doing so, and it may not necessarily be worth it. (By the way, I thought the new version of the G36c had metal bushings and spring guide anyhow?)
