| Thats the one I use and it works great. Its fool proof, plus you can use the gator clip connection to rig the charger to non-wired batteries like those used in AEP's. | |

| To charge a battery using a regualar charger you have the risk of overcharging. Not to mention if you are using a NiCD battery, they have memory cells and remember where they were last charged.
A smart charger knows when to stop charging, and charges a battery in a fraction of the time.

| does this one discharge? And on the chager the input is in amps, not milliamps. it has .9amps and 1.8amps, does that mean it charges at 900ma, and 1800ma? | |

| ^^ If you have a NiCD battery, and you want to avoid memory syndrome. Get one.
If you have a NiMH. You dont have too.

| If it is by HITECH, then it is good, I have one, and it is amazing! It has a tool where you can change the number of cells for one dial, and with the other one, you can change hoow fast you want it to charge, I like it on the lower setting, so it has a better charge
The Intell charger by HITECH can charge both the nickel cadnium battery (the new ones in most AEGs, small plug, 7 cells) and the old batteries. With the intelligent charger, you have to be careful, that you dont discharge the nickel cadnium battery
The cadnium battery dies, and cannot be charged again after being discharged
The discharge is only for the old battery types
