| So i finally had a free afternoon to go to the local airsoft store in Santa Clara (Airsoft Extreme http://www.airsoftextreme.com ). I did not really know what to expect. I was hoping it would be a place where i could go and really get a feel for the airsoft gun i wanted to buy (TM P90). The store was all that i hoped for and more! They had TONS of stuff everywhere and the people were so helpful! I told them my price range and the guy at the corner pulled this gun of the wall that did not have a price, he said it was part of CA's Sportline. I was still in a half state of shock at how fantastic the store was so i did not catch all he said. He said that the CA Sportline line was a cheaper, less metal grade airsoft gun, but still from CA. He also said that the guns price was some where in the one hundreds, i would have asked more but he had to go some where else and left me with another clerk. This one was a new employee, before i really got to ask more Questions about the Sportline, he asked me if i would like to test fire it. . I had no idea you could do that! After the dumbfounded look on my face fell away, i said yes. Its hard for me to explain, I have never felt the way i have ever felt while shooting this gun, it seemed so... Reliable, i know you cant tell if a gun is reliable from shooting it once, but thats the way i felt. It felt powerful, a good weight, and it was fun to shoot. As i finished the clip he brought another gun to me, it was the TM P90. I was so excited. As he prepared he told me that this was his 2nd favorite airsoft gun, and that his first was the systema. After the first shot, there was no question in my mind as to if i should get this gun, it was amazing. Then the clerk told me to go full auto. I wasted just about the entire clip in seconds, i was amazed. So in conclusion, what is CA Sportline, and what do you think of the TM P90( I have basically made up my mind about this, I have looked at many reviews but i want to know what AR thinks about this) ? Sorry it was so long, i was so amazed with this experience, there was no short way to type it.

| It's called the CA Sportline, but the internals aren't as good as a TM or a full metal CA.
The TM P90's hi-caps are horrible from what I've heard. They always seem to jam up. If you get this gun ask how many BB's you should put in the mag because it jams. I would definitely go with the P90. Some people hate the looks of the P90 but I love it.

Can you test that AirsoftGuy?

| GO for the P90. It is more reliable and I have read nothing but horrible things about the sportline. I hear the plastic quality isn;t that good and that it is unreliable after a few games. | |

| I am a little worried, this is going to be my only AEG so i want an all around good gun. Will the P90 fulfill my needs? Or is it a mostly CQB gun? | |

| remember, barrel length has almost no effect in airsoft.
So a P90 will perform pretty much the same as an M16 or an AK-47

| True, the P90 has a really high rate of fire and I almost got that over my TM MP5A5 high grade, but in some guns, they accualy it matters of barrel length, because they are special guns that accually have a BB rotator in the second internal barrel. with other guns, it matters a little bit if there is a tight bore, because it gives te BB a longer time to steady out and go straight | |

Yes, do explain I have never heard of a "BB" rotator. Do you mean a hop up? Pretty much every airsoft gun has hop up

| sorry, I didnt mean the TM, but some very expensive gas guns have internal barrels that make the BB rotate, but it usually uses metal bbs, or very expensive hardened plastic BBs | |

| Rotate like the bbs do barrel rolls, meaning they spin sideways? | |

| Yeah, it looks like a great gun.
If you are going to spend that much, you should also look into G&G and KWA, before making your derision.

| I have been, but its just about impossible to know what a Airsoft gun is really like by looking at it and reading peoples reviews. I will have to go back to the airsoft store and ask around. | |

| Unless you love P90s, I personally would get a G&G or KWA.
They are a lot more powerful and they have metal bodies which are durable. (Especially the G&G)
P90 is a great gun, but for the price, there are much better guns out there.

| Since it shoots at only 280 fps, the bbs would be very easy to dodge at ranges of 120-130 feet because they would have lost so much momentum by then.
P90 is a great gun, but for the price, there are much better guns out there.
If you are using it as a CQC gun, then it is perfect.

| I need a good all around gun, no specialty guns, i figured the P90 would be a good all around gun once i get it upgraded to 400 FPS. The people at my store tell me it cost's about 50$ | |
